I had the chance to watch 4 of his games yesterday on my HDD, and I have to admit he is going to be a very good player in the NBA. He is a excellent defender, and has elite athleticism(Almost DRose like) and is aggressive. He is also a surprisingly good passer. If he can improve his handles, I have no doubts he can be an elite PG in the NBA.
You guys think he will enter the draft or stay?
I would think it's a toss up at this point. If he has a good tourney (both Pac-10 and NCAA), I'd say he bolt, especially with Malcolm Lee and Jrue Holliday coming in. If not, he should stay and try being a bigger part of the offense next year, along with Jrue.
Do you guys really think he can run the point in the NBA? The right people have decided that, yes he can, and now he's a lottery pick. I'm not so sure.

I still stand by that he's Lindsey Hunter type on the pro level. Used for defensive purposes.

i'm still trying to figure out how westbrook is anything more than a backup guard for an nba team. i mean he can be a good defensive player coming off the bench, but do you take that with a lottery pick? i have to think there would be someone better there.
I just don't know what happened here. One day Givony and Ford get on the phone together and say "you know what, he can run an NBA team!" and now he's a lottery pick? If he's an NBA Caliber starting point guard, I sure as hell haven't seen it. He has a lot of qualities that Collison doesn't, but none of those are point guard qualities. Ron Artest can do a lot more than Steve Nash, but that doesn't make him a point guard.
EDIT: Apologies to Draft Express who do not have Westbrook in their 2008 First Round. Nbadraft.net however, has him in their top 10.

I think that's an excellent comparison, albeit Westbrook has nowhere near the outside shot that Hunter had coming into the league. For those wondering if that merits a lottery selection, Hunter did go #10 in the draft.
I really hope he comes back for another year to refine the stroke.
