No one should be surprised. You could see how athletic he was all year.

There is a tension, peculiar to basketball, between the interests of the team and the interests of the individual. The game continually tempts the people who play it to do things that are not in the interest of the group.
How can someone viciously head-butt the rim without getting injured?
apparantly alexander makes headbutting metal a regular occurance, i'm sure it's exaggerated, but even that ability is just.. Crazy.
i doubt marvin williams is more athletic then joe alexander.

I know it's an exageration, but I find it a pretty ridiculous exageration...

ahah I'd love to see the kid viciously maliciously headbutt the rim into submission.
i wish they were more clear with the claim, having scars on your head from similar circumstances.. is this guy an idiot or purely the toughest mother***** since chuck norris or dj mbenga

Definitely they have to clearify the claim. Imagine if this starts a new trend and youngsters & kids start headbutting the rim at the playgrounds

Just for good measure, he finished off by jogging lightly towards the basket, jumping off two feet and viciously head-butting the rim, as you can see in the photo
I like this guy. His athleticism and size is crazy. Because of those things, he gets a ton of blocks and dunks. I love how he wants to dunk everything. His jumpshot is totally unblockable because of his high release and elevation, not to mention, its pretty quick too.

He definitely seems like an interesting prospect, but with such a limited body of work at a high level to judge from, I am wary of jumping too squarely on his bandwagon. He was a really high level player for, what, half or two-thirds of a season? It's almost like he just flipped a switch (and if it goes on so quickly, is it going back off?) If it weren't for the first two weeks of March, I doubt we'd be having this conversation at all.
^but that's what March can do for you. luther, give in. jump on. you won't be disappointed.
Just like when people jumped on to, say, Dontae Jones after his great March 1996? Was anyone disappointed in him? I tend to prefer a more substantial body of work over a couple of good weeks... But that said, I do like Alexander. I can't say how much, in that I don't recall ever watching him play until April or March (and I prefer not to talk up or down guys I've never or rarely seen--making me a rarity among fans, I know!).
