One of the main reasons people are turned off to Christianity is how pushy and preachy many Christians seem to be. Worry about yourself and let me live my life how I want to. I don't think that's too big of a request.

I don't shove it on people throat either and actually dislike when other people do it, but when you come into a religion thread like this and make idiotic comments then you're going to have it, I'm sorry. Don't want people to shove it down your throat ignore the thread then, it's for your benefit trust me. And this is a thread discussing religion. If you can't handle someone criticizing your religion, then you're not strong enough to even follow a religion. This isn't a "Praise Christianity" thread, it's a thread on all of religion. Believe it or not, as horrific as it sounds, not everyone is obsessed with Jesus. And, don't look now, but...some believe he was just your average human.

Okay, I didn't wanna head that road, but you've forced me to. Yes, since you made fun of Jesus and God in this thread. Read the whole thread again because i'm not wasting my time to look em up for you.

Don't expect to belittle them and having nobody to answer you back. You've committied a unforgiven sin by having done that. And you don't have a chance to repent, it's written in the bible in which you also make fun off and belittle.

Not necessarily. If the Bible made no reference to it, it wouldn't automatically mean it's okay to do it. In general, the Bible teaches about morals and living a God like life, and since God is an all perfect being, and seeing that lying and stealing are imperfections, it would be obvious that lying and stealing would be wrong. The Bible also teaches to do unto others, as you would want them to do unto you (Matthew 7:12), and I don't personally know many people who willingly welcome people to lie and steal from them.

I think people need to understand the relationship between God and a Christian. It's not about God laying down a bunch of rules and Christians blindly following them simply because God said so. God like a parent, desires that Christians (his children) love him, and loving him means living your life and making decisions rooted in God, because you understand the value of them. A good parent doesn't want their child to do something simply because they told them to, as the parent wants to know the kid understands the principle (good and bad) and God is no different. This is why God gave all people a free will.

You have to realize that some people take offense to that. Some Christian extremists are not so accepting that there are many different beliefs in the world, and get very uptight over blasphemy. It is your freedom of speech, but at the same time, it's offensive to some. If you go around saying that (which I'm not saying you do), be prepared to take some ****.
