Re: What are you drinking?
Jim Beam's Red Stag is how I got into drinking whiskey straight, and I used to love it, but now the cherry flavoring is way too strong for me. Two-thirds Red Stag and one-third water over ice makes for a decent mild whiskey-type drink, though.

I have a feeling the cherry flavouring would be too overpowering for me. Honey could work though.

Re: What are you drinking?
Come on baby, you know I have a soft spot for you. I'd still waste good whiskey on you.

Re: What are you drinking?
Bourbon is tough, we have so many claiming to be 'authentic' that end up tasting like garbage, that it makes me nervous to purchase.
That's why I appreciate it when people post pictures of what varieties they're drinking on here, gives me some bottles to look out for. I obviously have to pay a premium for this stuff though as it's imported, but at least I know I'm paying for something legit. I'm also pretty lucky I live right down the road from a shop that has an entire specialty drink section dedicated to spirits/wines/beers.

Re: What are you drinking?
Dunno if you've tried it, but if you ever see Four Roses on sale you should definitely get it. A guy at the liquor store recommended it to me once, and it instantly became my favorite drink.
Used to cost around $20 at the liquor stores, but with a recent bill it became $30-50 at the grocery. I'd say it's as good as Henny, if not better. It's the perfect combo of dank and smooth.
