You can see some high quality pre-season/minor league baseball games for $10. Paying $40 for MLB games are plain stupid, IMO.

I mean, $20 jeans are fine, they give you $20 worth
and while i think $100 jeans are generally silly (Lucky, PDC), jeans that cost $150-200 (Nudies, APC, even some mall brands like TR and 7) certainly give you more than the money's worth. I truly believe that a pair of above mentioned jeans give you 10x+ value of a pair of $20 jeans, in terms of fit, wash, and durability (you ever tried to **** with a pair of selvedge denim?)

however, I always thought that jeans at the $350+ range were silly.

Until I got in my hands the jeans mentioned in the OP. I don't know if it's $375 good, but it def beats out even the $200 jeans, by far.

I have a pair of Levi's 569. Best 30 bucks I've ever spent on pants.

oh the Red Ears are kinda obscure in the US apparently. I tried to do a google search and it hasn't been much helpful other than to tell me something along the lines of "best jeans ever made" or something. which is a point that is of contention all the time at those forums.

As for selvedge/selvage:

basically, it's denim made on pre-WWII looms. Essentially it's more time-consuming and a pain in the ***, and thus more expensive
many people do still like it for the "historical/authentic" value, and there is no denying that it is tough as hell.
Supposedly it fades better, with nicer hues, but all raw jeans I've had were selvedge so I can't make a direct comparison. Supposedly it creates a cleaner outseam, and has more "irregularities" that give your jeans "personality" but I think these two are minor, minor points.

I am also addicted to jeans. My favorite brands are Sass and Bide, Hudson, and Miss Sixty(which fits me really really well generally). I also have a pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans that I wear a ton and are really comfy.

Sure it might help you out, but in the end it means nothing.

Anyways I had a pair of APCs but they were way too tight for my liking, so I sold them. I'm wearing Levis STF until I can find something I like and is affordable. I just can't see myself spending 200-300$$ on jeans.

I think I said this in the skincare thread, but all of the superficial stuff gets you in the door, or keeps the door from getting shut on you before you can start talking. Unless you're a one in a million kind of guy, you don't get laid without personality. With fashion I'm more concerned with being perceived to be in the league of any girl, and then I can back it up with personality.
