Since when do their pizzas taste like they put more salt then cheese on them...I got a pepperoni stuffed crust last night I felt like I would stroke out if I finished it...I just started eating the crust like breadsticks

And yes Jamel I know if I had went for that third slice I would've.

I actually think it's cause I got it in the hood ..when I got a personal pan awhile back from a nicer neighborhood it was great

Actually Pizza Hut does taste a little different lately. But mine's the opposite, those things are cheesier than hell. It's actually kinda gross.

IMO Pizza Hut taste changes dramatically on the restaraunt that you go to - newer restaraunts taste dramatically better then older ones (unless theyve replaced ovens)

Eating it since they were kids, people don't know any better. If you fed a kid dog shit since he was 5 he would munch on it just fine as an adult.

I look at it this way, I grew up in SoCal which is almost half Hispanic. Where I live now the only Mexicans you see work in the Mexican restaurants. So whenever I go to one of those places their food tastes like bland utter crap (and they always have my food out in like 10 minutes so I figure they precook it). Yet all the natives think the mexican food there is amazing. I think the people that work there know their food is shit, but their customers have never had great Mexican food so they wouldn't have a comparison.

Then I started to think that all the Chinese food I enjoy is probably crap compared to the authentic stuff, simply because I don't know any better.

I think it really depend on the food. For example if I wanted to eat fried chicken I can settle for KFC and if I wanted to eat a burger I can settle for Wendy's. But pizza imo you just have to at least get from a pizzeria. The drop off in the quality of food is just too great in this case.

As for Chinese food the rule of thumb is never go to a Chinese restaurant that's not filled with Chinese people. If you are not the only non-Chinese person there chances are whatever you are eating isn't authentic and is catered to westerners.

I don't think we have a legitimate pizza place here any more. There used to be a place we'd go after football games, but now it is all franchises and none of them really make a good pizza.

I don't eat pizza anymore but when I did they type I enjoyed the best was the Italian style where they would put in a wood fire oven under no direct heat. Real crisp thin crust, light sauce. That's the way they make it in Brazil too.

Pizza Hut is hardly a pizza chain. They unravel the wrapping from their frozen crusts and reheat them.

I couldn't even tell you the last time I've gotten a legit pizza from a pizzeria. You truly do pay for what you get with pizza. We have this pizza chain in Winnipeg called Pizza Hotline and they sell 4 XL pizza's for 30 bucks so it's hard to pass that up when a legit pizza can cost 30 bucks itself. I need to stop going for quantity and go for some quality for once. I don't even remember what a real pizza tastes like.
