Kind of a similar story, but I almost had Cyrille host a big party for me, but Leo called and said it would be a bad idea since Cyrille a crazy frenchman and a no talent hack. I cancelled last minute.

Your experience in LA seems to be heavily influenced by this compulsively-lying, insane, racist, samurai sword-wielding Frenchman who hates certain celebrities. That's quite the character.

This is why I don't like living with random dudes... thankfully he didn't try to poison anyone as revenge for his OJ or actually get one of you with the Samurai sword. I moved in with a guy once in college and his closet (I got there when he was gone) was filled entirely with black suits (he wore one every day regardless of the occasion/weater) and porn. Actually that doesn't sound quite that bad when you type it out... but he listened to Depeche Mode all of the time, you'll just have to trust me that it was weird. That being said, that shit is ****ing hilarious and at least you've got a good story to tell.

That's what I'm thinking. This story makes me really glad I never lived with a random roommate before.

He does indeed have a heavy, thick accent.

He likes to say "funge" or "funj" (however you would spell it) a lot. Whenever the DiCaprio story would come up, he would ocassionally throw in a "DiCaprio funged me." It was quite entertaining. For a while, I thought "funge" was French for ****ed, and I was amused to later learn it wasn't French at all, just some made up word.

Dornado, your roommate definitely sounds weird. That guy actually sounds like somebody that would kill somebody. Obviously, I underestimated Cyrille, but he initially seemed more harmless than your roommate sounds.

Oh, and another awesome revelation. I forgot to mention this before (there are so many stories), but Cyrille has claimed to be both in the French special forces and a boxer. Obviously I assumed none of this to be true, but then when you google his name, there's this...

Everytime I'm back in a coffee shop in LA (since I never was in one growing up, but am frequently now that I drink tea and work from a laptop) all the conversations are from wannabe filmakers, producers and actors. My sister lives on Los Feliz blvd now next to the Greek theater and that's all I ever ****ing hear around there. It makes me ashamed to be from there.

But that might because I'm not a fan of film.

Just moved from the suburbs to the city. There are some interesting characters here, though I have yet to meet anyone even 1/100th as over the top as Cyrille. Good read.

Also I wish I found a place for 400. That's ridiculous.
