The Army Corps of Engineers get a earlier test than expected for the newly overhauled pump system in New Orleans. Lines for gas are already ridiculous. It took me 45 minutes to get to a pump last night at 9pm.

Just a little bit of rain. Daniel LaRusso fought in worse conditions than this storm.

That speed is still in the semi-safe range. I'm mildly encouraged. I've got my supplies, but we might lose power soon.

Re: Tropical Storm Isaac on familiar course in Gulf region
It was dark all day and rained off and on, pretty windy but it wasn't too bad here. We lucked out and it didn't hit us directly, just a little bit from the outer bands. Hope it's not too bad for those in the direct path.

It's been upgraded to hurricane now. Category 1.
