Beverly Hills
I'm going there Saturday night for dinner, but for any of you who have been there, what else is there to do in that area? I'm thinking of checking out Rodeo Drive simply because I've never driven/walked down it and I hear it's pretty cool, but is there anything else around that area to do?

Re: Beverly Hills
I don't know Beverly Hills that well, but Santa Monica is right next door and is pretty sweet. The 3rd Street Prominade is nice.

Re: Beverly Hills
Isn't Rodeo Drive just a bunch of high end designer shops? Why are you looking around there? Grab a drink in Westwood or Culver City or Santa Monica. There's probably a John Wooden statue you can get your picture taken next to if you want by UCLA.

I've been to the Promenade in Santa Monica; I was there a month ago. Indeed Rodeo is a high end, 3-block designer shopping area but it's somewhere to walk around for a while after dinner. Maybe I'll find a bar somewhere.

Re: Beverly Hills
Rodeo Drive really isn't much to see. There are a lot of nice cars, over priced shops and a bunch of snobby people.

Re: Beverly Hills
It's not just a date. I'm taking my girlfriend out for her birthday there.

Re: Beverly Hills
This is different. Go to a bar/lounge somewhere she's heard of before, so Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills Hotel, or Chateau Marmont. I would never hang out these places myself (not that I'm in any position to), but you'll probably see someone famous which she'll love. At the very least you know that this is where the rich and famous hang out which is something she'll like. Chateau Marmont is in West Hollywood, but I would NOT recommend continuing down Sunset. Haha, look at me, I'm giving LA tips.

Re: Beverly Hills
I'm going to this place: http://www.ilcielo.com/
And yeah, I don't know the cultural weight of Chataeu Marmont. Elaborate.

Re: Beverly Hills
I genuinely didn't think you would care for the place, it doesn't seem very Basel-ish. But now that I think about it, the fact people go their to die, it does have some relevance.

Re: Beverly Hills
Now now now. Be nice. The high end manscaping salons would gladly admit him for a back shaving.
