We've been looking to move out to an acreage within 15 minutes of town for a few years. Had a sweet place all lined up a month or so back but my wife pulled out due to having cold feet with having a newborn baby.


I bought a peak right before everything went to shit so I'm not going to make a god damn cent on this house. Bought it for 330, might be able to get 350 with the work we've put in. Doesn't really bother me though.

Pabst Blue Ribbon anybody? PBR was my shit for a while, although the majority of people my age tend to shun it. Not sure why, everybody knows it was selected as best beer on the planet at the World's Exposition Fair back in 1893, which is basically yesterday. I hear the Chinese pay out the ass for the stuff, something like $44 a bottle whereas, if you're hitting the right bars in Milwaukee, you're shilling out anywhere between a dollar to $2.50. Point, us.

This thread nonchalantly went from sex vs. bacon to my cousin's psycho vagina to Nim's living arrangements to beer. All in a day's work, gentlemen.

You're like a beautiful girlfriend, albeit.. an alcoholic, slightly obese girlfriend that only has one period a year, but it happens to be a 3-4 month long debacle that results in a lot of people crashing their cars or snowmobiles and dying or being late for work.

Is that a Lakefront? Never had one. Then again, haven't drank in a while now. Never was a problem, just eliminating vices for a while.

But it's the ****ing pot man. Goddamn. I just want to get stoned. But that'd be relenting, so I can't let myself. I think I'm disappointed by how much marijuana hasn't changed my life.

Hopefully I can hold out long enough to visit Prince then get stupidly high.

Yeah Lakefront. Great tour. I never liked weed, so I think I'm lucky with that. Good thing I never had a real ecstasy connect though, because I would have been one of those dudes covered in glitter with a pacifier in my mouth. LOVED that stuff.

Weed seems to split people into two categories, either it's not for you or you're like **** yeah I see what the hype's about.

Never messed with anything else though. Ecstasy, that stuff ****ing fascinates me. I'll never try it, but this girl I dated briefly last year had done it a number of times and wanted me to try it with her. Did loads of research, read up on it but by the time I came anywhere near making a decision we were through. ****ing shame, probably would have tried it then.

You use it pretty frequently? She said she had used it 13 times, up to that point, and she thought it had actually affected her personality. A friend of hers claimed no such changes, so I suppose it's subjective.

The whole myth (or, truth for all I know) of having sex on ecstasy and then sober sex never comparing intrigues me. Not that I'd want to try it (sounds ****ing terrible) but from a scientific standpoint, I wonder if there's something there.

Any light to shed on the issue?

No, only a few times, like I said I never really knew anyone who could or would get it regularly for me (not that I was really bugging anyone about it), but it is amazing. I have a female friend that I did it with once or twice who used to do it a lot and she says straight out that it completely changed her personality. (Personally I thought she was a flighty pixie when I met her and now she's just a flakey adult, but whatever).

Sex on E is ridiculous. It is the most unbelievable thing in the world. Just skin-on-skin contact with a girl is nearly orgasmic, actually having sex is indescribable. Suicide Sunday is very very real though. When you take a drug that releases literally all of your serotonin, there is nothing left the next day and you need to take some precautions to avoid severe depression until your body resupplies itself.

It interests me how the genders seem to react differently to certain drugs. I'm not saying that ecstasy may only change a female mindset, just that.. alcohol, for instance. With guys (there's a scientific backbone to this, and I'm sure it's something we can all attest to) we get really ****ing irrational, obviously. I'm staying very not technical here, but whereas guys get more irrational, girls tend to get a "sloppier" mindset. Aka, guys and girls slide into a lazier mindset as they drink, they're just different kinds of lazy, I guess.

That's the shittiest paragraph I've ever written, but yeah.

Has not ruined sex for me. People who say stuff like that about anything are lying. Having really good chocolate doesn't make a Hershey bar disgusting or unsatisfying for me. Maybe the first time you had one you could be slightly disappointed, but as long as you're not eating your ecstasy/swiss chocolate all the time, the Hershey bar is fine.

I don't think there's any relation between the brewery that owns the label now and the one that owned it when I drank it (in college) when we drank that shit because a case was $3.99. And when I was a kid there was no relation between the brewery that produced it and the brewery that actually made it a century ago. (Actually, when we realised that it was brewed by Narragansett's out here we went for the even cheaper Gansetts.)

The guy that lived behind me growing up used to work at the Pabst Brewery... and we (my friends and I) used to break into the abandoned brewery building downtown when I was 17-18 so that we could raid the left over promotional gifts they had there (I have a PBR Hat, Scarf, Umbrella, etc...). Climbing to the roof and sitting under the big rotating sign was pretty cool too.

I'm mostly a New Glarus drinker these days... mostly Spotted Cow.
