Re: Christmas Plans?
Theyre not really beer snobs, theyre just not really into craft beers the way am. I just remembered that I have a bottle of Stone IPA Imperial Black 15 anniversary brew that my friend gave me chillin in the fridge. Perhaps ill crack that tomorrow instead. My friend bought a case of it last year and he's been aging it. Tried it at his Christmas party a week ago and it was amazing.

Re: Christmas Plans?
Merry Christmas bro's.
Just getting ready to open presents, then I have to go drive 2 flats of beer to my old bosses house, which has somehow become a Christmas tradition for me, then the parents are coming over for lunch. Should be quite a good day.

3pm food is cooking, beers are flowing and the fire is roaring. No kids around so presents have yet to be opened, not sure I'm a fan of this waiting around and being sophisticated lark, but I'm at the in-laws so unfortunately I'm not making the rules.

Re: Christmas Plans?
My Christmas isn't over - and yet has been entirely amazing. Relaxing right now after gift opening, the family is scattered for a couple of hours. Not only did my nieces come in from Connecticut so I got to see them - but two nights ago had the girl of my dreams call me up and say she was going to stop in for a night (we broke up five years ago because neither of us has interest in maintaining over hundreds of miles, she went away for grad school - currently finishing her second masters, getting ready for her PhD). We picked back up like she'd never been gone. Wonderful few days. A few years from now, who knows if we'll both be single but if she is - we learned that we're still every bit *there.* That alone made this holiday season worth it.

Re: Christmas Plans?
I had Mississippi a few times. That stuff is tasty. I'm in the same boat you are - if it tastes good I'm in. My spot here in town has about 35 beers on tap at all times - so I've taken to just telling the bartenders to just give me "bartender's choice." I tip well already so they don't just go straight to the expensive shit - they give me what they think is the tastiest stuff. Really have found some good shit. Had Left Hand Brewery's Milk Stout and got addicted to it. Had some kind of Gingerbread Ale yesterday that was tasty as hell. I don't actually remember all the randomness I drank last night... played pool (love free tables) for about 6 hours with friends and just in general had a holiday blast.

Re: Christmas Plans?
Blizzard warning here in Indiana. Just hung out with some family, unfortunately friends have to work tomorrow so they can't really do anything tonight, but I went ahead and bought myself a half gallon just in case I can't go out for a while.

Close to drunk. Trying not to be.
Luckily I've ate a ton today so the plethora of beers, sloe gin and gin and tonics haven't halted me yet. Got some ridiculously good gifts.

Re: Christmas Plans?
Went and saw Jack Reacher today. What a total pile of garbage. On top of that everyone that was in the theater were a pile of crap too. It's like no one understands that when you go see a movie in public, you're seeing it with other people and need to act appropriately. Instead, people are rude pushy and don't shut the hell up. I would have been upset with them if I wasn't so predictably disappointed with them. It's just sad that so many people are just trash. It's sad when you know for a fact that you're better than some people.

Re: Christmas Plans?
At least 10 different people were having the movie explained to them or were repeating the last line/predicting the next line (usually to a yes/no question). It was like I was in a theater from idiocracy.

Re: Christmas Plans?
I already said the movie sucked, but everyone in the audience was loving it.
