And I just want to say that this is a horrible tragedy. My roommate's family lives in Newtown and his younger brother goes to a neighboring elementary school. People can be disgusting.

RIP to all of the innocent people who died today.

It's not a thread until R-Star makes a stupid attack on America.

Big surprise you disagree.

I won't disrespect the kids who died by carrying it further, but I will say the people who disagree don't surprise me. I expect most successful people who work hard will agree.

Dateline special. This is upsetting to watch.

I have a friend who's brother died around Christmas. Now when everyone else celebrates their family comes together each year to mourn. Thinking of how those parents lives were completely destroyed today is depressing.

With people like this killer, you almost hope if there is a hell, you go there so that you can make him pay for the rest of eternity.

It feels like cheating that he just gets to kill himself and not have to pay for any of this.

Entitlement syndrome isn't unique to America. It exists in equal measures in Canada, England, and several other Western nations. And it has nothing to do with psychopathic shooters. If you want to talk about Disney Princess Syndrome making all women in American cities completely intolerable, I'm all there.

I disagree. But you know me and you, it's a multiple post back and forth. We can do it in a new thread if you want.

I don't want to be the guy who derails a thread about something like this.

Doesn't seem like either of us want to argue about it anyway.

That's one thing that really hit me hard this afternoon. There are 20 homes with wrapped presents for Christmas that won't be opened. Their first bike, their favorite tv show character's action figure, a brand new Barbie. That brought it home for me. Those tangible pieces of love can't be thrown out, they'll just sit there as the harsh reminder of what terrible things one can do.

Hell, I consider myself a decent guy and I'll still keep watching the news.
You don't have to watch the mainstream news if you have the internet. CNN, Fox, NBC... they all have agendas and are privately funded. I get 100% of my news online.

Another thing that hit me is just how helpless everyone feels after something like this happens. What are we to do? I know a lot of people here talk tough about taking out an armed assailant, but no one (non military/police) is trained to handle this and those that are aren't there. It's a terrible feeling.

It's important to remember stuff like this the next time some **** intentionally cuts you off in traffic or something. Instead of getting pissed off you should feel sad for them that they have no respect for other humans.

If Adam saw R-star seriously hurt, would he help him?
