Can someone explain how greasy food is supposed to help? Or is that the fat you need more than the grease?

Alcohol's effect on the stomach lining can account for the nausea felt so grease in the food lines the stomach walls and helps calm things down inside pretty much. Also grease cannot absorb alcohol but it helps slightly when you have a hangover also because the fat is turned into sugar in your body and hence into energy.
