1-on-1 with The White Mamba
The White Mamba, The Human Victory Cigar, Scal, The Man The Myth The Legend... Whatever you want to call him going 1-on-1 with some dudes from Boston.
Think I read he kept his opponents to 6 points total.

It's hilarious how most people talk so much shit on some of these players as if they wouldn't mop the floor with 99% of us. Lol Kwame Brown would destroy every one of us. Smh

Yet his 1-on-1 skills don't look very polished.

Re: 1-on-1 with The White Mamba
Maybe I'm from a different school of basketball, but why are they not going for rebounds on misses? Why wouldn't you just sell out to block the shot every single time on the perimeter if the guy can't get a rebound if he misses? Is this how most people play 1-on-1?

I've never played by these rules. Sure doesn't look very cardio intensive.

He did but barely. They had a balanced starting 5. He was just the most versatile (great ball handler, passer and shooter for a college big man).
As for these "rules" you're right. Most people can rebound misses. I've always never been a fan of one on one or half court in general. I'm a deer. Usually when I play pickup games with normal dudes some fat 6'0" guy will guard me thinking ill just post up all day. When that happens my goal is to have him ask for a switch within the first 3 points. Sent from Verticalsports.com Free App

Re: 1-on-1 with The White Mamba
Yeah, we never played 1 on 1 like this (with no rebounding and a 10 second shot clock) when I was a kid. I'm 6'2" with decently long arms (I think around a 6'6" wingspan) and have always been a solid jump shooter (that would be my only chance to score on Scalabrine) that has allowed me to beat some guys 1-1 that physically outmatch me... but I've put on some weight lately so I've had to bang in the post a bit more. Last night I was throwing pump fakes in bunches and playing old man ball... probably time to hit the treadmill.
