Re: Self Made Vol. 2
Like seriously his first major look was that Roots song with the girl singing..."yesterday I saw a b-girl crying I asked what's wrong, she told me that the radio's been playing the same song all day"....and cue 5 years later MMG makes the same song all day long. Come on now

Re: Self Made Vol. 2
Yeah you're right. I guess I never looked at his "selling out" as a bad thing. Artists' music evolves all the time, though I guess in this particular context it is kind of ****ed.
I started listening to Wale when he did the mixtape with the remix of Lily Allen's "Smile". That particular song was on repeat for a month or two. How do you know that he's an asshole firsthand? |

![]() But I'll tell you a friend of mine and her crew met his crew at the club and they was thirsty to get my friend and them back to their hotel room to smoke and "chill"...she's like she wasn't with it and she doesn't smoke anyway, so while his man is trying to convince them he just interrupts like "**** y'all" to the millionth decibel and that was it...he always call himself snappin on somebody...that's probably why he lost a tooth at his own birthday celebration Oh and my friend was telling me about how his lil cousin saw him in a mall one day and just wanted to tell him she was a big fan and appreciated his music and he was just real dismissive and "yeah whatever", barely acknowledged her. And this was before MMG....IIRC maybe even before the first album Last edited by Dre; 06-26-2012 at 08:51 AM. |

Re: Self Made Vol. 2
Finally got around to this one.
Not as good as Vol. 1 but some standout tracks for me were This Thing Of Ours, Black On Black, and Bury Me. I was mostly disappointed that they didn't use this album to showcase Gunplay more. He's got next.

Re: Self Made Vol. 2
Ross album is decent(the singles are horrible)... along with the frequent name-drops feel Ross is like Game in a sense that both rappers are good but have very low ceilings, so theres very little room for them to grow as artists...don't ask me why.
PS..Guys got an ear for beats though. PPS..3000 killed it.
