Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

I love this album, I too had no idea they were that popular though. They also seem to have become the band who are cool to hate.

Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

^ Yeah, people are going for the jugular all over the internet. It's ridiculous though, this is a band that keeps quiet and just makes the music they love, aint no reason to hate on that philosophy.

Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

M&S did draw a good crowd at Lollapalooza 2010. I had no idea who they were. Instead, I chose to go with Minus the Bear.

I do like their debut album. Babel is more of a same. Somehow, I don't as stoked this band as I do about others. I do appreciate these though since their songs have a feel of the blues.

Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

Since there isnt a Grammy thread i will post here...

The Grammy make no f'n sense. Mumford and Sons lost every other category they where nominated in but won Album of the Year? Dont get me wrong its a great Album but wtf?

Seriously they lost Best Americana Album...So shouldnt that make the person that won that and beat them Album of the Year? lol

Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

No because that's how Award shows work. This is nothing new for the grammys nor any other award show.

The whole Americana album thing was a joke. But they couldnt win the category their albums is listed under for the Grammy and it still wins Album of the Year? It baffles me

The Black Keys or fun should have won

Re: Mumford and Sons' "Babel"

So because a Movie doesn't win Best Actor or Best Costume Design it isn't eligible for Best Picture? Same principle.

Yes it doesn't quite make sense, but it is what it is. They sold a million copies since September.
