Re: Best concert you've ever been to?
RHCP was definitely in the running for me, but others making cases
Tool 311 Primus Dredg The Mars Volta The Flaming Lips Radiohead Hard to choose. I was lucky to see RHCP when they still had John Frusciante, who's one of my favorite musicians ever. Josh Klinghoffer is very, very good, but he's no Frusciante. |

That would be amazing. After the RHCP show, I'd have to say the Metallica concert I went to a couple years ago would be my second favorite.

TOOL in 2002 and 2006. Lateralus tour and 10,000 days respectively
NIN one would've been up close in 2000 for Fragility tour if i wasn't so dehydrated and about to pass out. |

Re: Best concert you've ever been to?
Spinal Tap & The Monkees/Weird Al are my two tops. Edgar Winter & Leon Russell comes in a close #2. George Thorogood/ John Cafferty 4th of July show a quarter century ago was also pretty awesome (1500 people packed into the legendary Channel, fire rated for 660). I also saw Aerosmith there in their Dr. J. Jones & the Interns alter-ego.
I caught BTO there, doing a hard to believe three hour set (given that Tim Bachman was the lightest of the three guys and he had to be around 300 at the time). For sheer musicianship they were pretty amazing as Clive Turner had left the group a couple of months before and they were down to the two Bachmans and former Guess Who drummer Gary Peterson.

Weird Al puts on amazingly fun shows. That Monkees reunion tour with Al opening is literally the funniest concert I've ever been to.
