Freeney's contract is for two years and has a base value of $8.75 million, league sources told ESPN's Ed Werder. In 2013, he will make $5.75 million, including a $3.25 million signing bonus and $1.5 million in base salary, the sources said. The deal includes an estimated $4.5 million incentive package over the two years.
Chargers coach Mike McCoy called Freeney's addition a "great signing for us."
Miklasz is right in comparing the Cardinals and the Blues. One is a great franchise, the other is one of the sports' worst. The post-lockout "rebuild" has been a colossal failure...3 straight owners have lost their backsides, and Tom Stillman looks to be the fourth.

This franchise was kicked out of the 1983 draft because they have no owner. It hasn't gotten better since, but St. Louis does not hold underachieving teams accountable; so the beat goes on.

The Charlotte Bobcats have begun the process of changing the team name to the Hornets, according to CBS Sports. The Charlotte Hornets played in North Carolina as an expansion team from 1988 until 2002 when owner George Shinn moved the franchise to New Orleans. With the New Orleans franchise rebranding to the Pelicans next season, the door is open for Charlotte to reclaim the team name.

Scouting reports say he has impressive ballhandling skills in transition as well as the half court, does a good job of getting his teammates involved. Shot 40% from the 3 point line, was very effective in catch and shoot scenario's, and has improved his play in the pick and roll. Defensively he has nice length and may have the best lateral quickness amongst all PG's in this draft, though his frame needs to continue to fill out (about 170 lbs).

Stock has risen quite a bit this past year, seems to be a 1st round prospect. DraftExpress projects him 16th to the Celtics at this point.

Noticed an article in ESPN today by ESPNChicago's Jon Greenberg. I'm sorry, but to be a Chicago writer and continue to bash Rose by calling everything regarding the "Return" a hoax is a bit out of line. I know I'm a day late on reading this article...

What are other Bulls fans thoughts on this?

What I had to say -
What a pathetic and petty article. This is shameful. The season was a success considering everything and the media should be grateful for what they got out of the Bulls. If Derrick were healthy there would be no interest in anyone other than the Knicks and Miami in the east because the Bulls would have been seen as the same team, maybe worse than the one that went to the ECF 2 years ago. The Bulls were dinged up, and the only way to play Miami was physically. Miami would have knocked Rose around had he come back and potentially damaged his confidence long-term. I'm glad he sat and will come back a beast. It wasn't a hoax; he had a severe, career-threatening injury. There are about zero people in the world capable of doing what derrick does on the court. If he loses that, then he's just another good player in the NBA. He was the MVP 2 years ago. Given the talent that is out there, which is pretty decent right now, he deserves better. If Derrick leaves Chicago at some point now, who could blame him..and I'm a born and raised Chicagoan. I can see why Lebron left and also why he won't ever go back to Cleveland. We're making the same mistake.
