Can we discuss the stats further?
 I like the way the FG, FT are set up now - it makes it so that ppl shooting below 45% fg and 75% ft are a liability and ppl shooting above it are an asset. An average player shooting 45% fg and 75% ft will generate 0 pts from the FGM, FGA, FTM, FTA stats combined, so that makes sense. Might want to add in 3PM and 3PA as well to get 3pt percentages in there. I'm not sure how to break down Points Scored and 3pt Shots, but keeping it the way it is is going to make 3pt shots worth 6, and 2pt shots worth 2, which is too disproportionate. Is there a way to remove Points Scored as a stat and replace it with 2-point Shots Made? That way we could have a 2-Point Shots Made and 3-Point Shots Made stat, which is easier to work with b/c it prevents 3 Point Shots from being double counted as both points and 3pters. Steals and blocked shots are effectively turnovers, so why aren't they weighted the same? Should be +/- 2 all around if thats cool w/ everyone. |
