Pacers had a bad season in 2013-2014. They were at the bottom of the league and they were a lottery team.
Maybe that was a strategy to create a solid team for the upcoming season! No-one knows. But the on thing that is obvious, they are assertive about the next season.

The problem about their team was the rebounds. And with the draft picks, they seem to solve that problem!

Pacers had the 5th and 6th picks for 1st Round and 5th Pick for 2nd Round.

Their picks are;

1st Round
5th Pick - Steve Andrews
6th Pick - Tommy Lister

2nd Round
5th Pick - Judah Nevel

Steve Andrews

Steve Andrews will be an all-star in this league. That's for sure. He can score in the post very well. And he is very talented about getting the rebounds. He may have some problems about the defence, but he will develop.

Tommy Lister

Tommy Lister maybe won't become an all-star but, eventhough he is only 18 and he has already proved his game. He is good at rebounds and a solid defence player!

Judah Nevel

If you have to name a talent about Judah Nevel, it will be "rebounds". Maybe he's not a scorer but he can defence the post and can take most of the rebounds. He'll probably play in the bench this year, but he can be the 6th man of Pacers.

With Steve Andrews and Tommy Lister, Indiana Pacers seems to solve the rebound problems and have a score option on post with Andrews' awesome scoring talent.

What will they do next season?

Their current line up seems like,

PG - Russell Westbrook
SG - Dion Waiters
SF - Carmelo Anthony
PF - Steve Andrews/Tommy Lister
C - Tommy Lister/Steve Andrews

But they need to fix the team a little bit. I believe they will want to trade Carmelo Anthony + Tommy Lister (or Judah Nevel) for a good role player on SF and a solid C. That's just an idea. In upcoming days, we will see what they do to arrange their team and make the best out of it.

If there is one thing that we're sure, is that Pacers created a Play-off team. They even can play at the finals! Time will show us everything.
