But what about this example:

Player A has a contract about 10mill next season.

Team B gives them max contract but already has 3 other offers on max contract and in the end he decides to take another player.
Team C gave player A a contract for 14mill. If it was the only offer he would have taken this one as it is an improvement to the actual one.
But player A will stay in his current contract with the actual system. Right?

In this RFA.

Zeller, Valuncianas and Jones all got good offers from the Wolves.
In the end they will only take one.

But what if all three won`t be matched in the end.
Then two of them will go back to their current team.

But what if other teams offered them good contracts. Maybe even better than the Wolves or at least better than the current. Without the Wolves offer they might have agreed.
But due to the Wolves offer that wasn`t done in the end they will stay with their current team for less money than they could have earned.

yes ok , there is nothing we can do either then give a week for RFA (which will not happen).. thats what it is .. yes the wolves will have to make a decision if more then 1 player wont get matched ..
you have to remember that they will stay with their current teams .. but they will only have 1 year left to their contract and if they wont extend they will be a UFA

But this allows the market to get artificially inflated. Technically, all it takes its one GM to have max cap room and every RFA gets a MAX offer and not only does the offering GM get to pick and chose who he wants, the other GMs get stuck with bad contracts.

So technically, owners lose the protection of RFA in this league because there is no consequences for offering bad contracts to all RFAs just to blow up the salary caps of teams especially with how punitive the hard cap is in this league.

The same as UFA...Davis would select the offer he likes best and the rest of the RFAs will do the same but in no way in reality would every RFA wait in line like this. Essentially they turned down other good offers to wait to see if a team will select them over another player? That does not make sense to me.

So essentially, RFA is now reduced to "match a MAX offer, lose your player for nothing or take your chances next year with extensions and UFA"?

well you have a point but on the other hand lets say we would have done RFA for a whole week .. at day one the the wolves would have offered max to lillard then i would have matched.. at day 2 to jonas and you'd get matched .. at day 3 to davis and then he would get matched.. and so on and on ..
the fact is that all of those players prefered the Wolves then the other teams.. as some teams prefered your team then others..
I mean yeah maybe we can restrice it up to 4 offers for the next RFAs... but look at what the Rockets did with lin .. they gave him that contract on purpose for the knicks wouldn't be able to match ... just like u did with davis and pj3..

its the same in KVBL .. never seen anyone complaining over there..

Yeah, I've had this same situation come up multiple times. Usually most people get matched.
Last year the Huskies had to choose between an overpayed Jon Leuer or an overpaid Patric Young.

And there are consequences. If Terrence Jones and Jonas get matched, I get stuck with Cody Zeller on a huge contract.

I hope I get better luck in UFA. I have room for 2 max contracts, and another big contract.

IMO a GM should only get to have as many offer sheets as their cap space...If Twolves has $20M in cap space ONLY one RFA contract can be accepted.

can contract offers be taken back in game?

say Twolves offer of like 4 guys.....they can only pay one...they should have a prioritezd list sent in meaning their top guy that accepts is it and all others, even if they accpet go to the wayside.

Their money should be tied up to a specific offer sheet, thus making the offer MATTER who it goes to etc.

between this weirdness and memphis player options simply to screrw someone knowing theyd match, this is the weirdest FA period ive ever seen.

I have no idea why people are making such a crazy deal about it this year? We have seen this multiple times in RFA before, where a teach gets multiple signings, but can only choose one.
Terrence and Jonas may even get matched, so I'd have to end up with Cody.
I do agree, this system is a little messed up because it is only one day, but it is what we got, so deal with it. It is the same in KVBL as well...

Yeah, it's unrealistic and can easily be taken advantage of, but in my opinion it's a necessary evil. It's either this or take a full week just for RFA. I don't think many of us would be happy with that. I know I wouldn't be. If anybody's got any other ideas though, I'm all ears.
