We have 3 days till the 2016 Draft so lets decide who was the 2016 GMOY , here are the nominees:

Chadtor - Memphis Pros - 58-24 record.

The Pros finished with the 3rd best record in the league,the big difference from last year was the trade for Al Jefferson who certainly made them a much better team , also Iman Shumpert was a nice addition to their roster .
Dunno what will we see next seaon from the Pros (only batum and wall are less than 28 tears old) but i'm sure this team is in safe hands with Chad as their GM.

Memphisx - Los Angeles Clippers - 62-20.

The Clippers finished first in the West (tied with the 76ers for best record in the league) and improved their record from last year (47-35).
No doubt that the signing of D-Wade was the turning point , kinda of a vetern player to lead this young group of players.. they are still very very strong for years to come as they are young and have a good depth as well.

Smath - Miami Heat - 56-26.

The Heat had a great season , u got to remember Duncan was out for 30+ games and also the "Problem " we had with the software might have cost them the 2nd place at the East.
Smath is nominated cause he made the right ajustments by bringing Udoh to replace Duncan and also trading Amare's awfu contract for a young stud like Devin Ebanks who will probably be their main piece in the next year as we might see an entirly new roster next season in south Florida.

Hunerman - Minnesota Timberwolves - 55-27.

The Wolves improved their Record from last season 46-36 and finished 3rd at the West , but beside the record their GM did some great moves such as improving his front court with Cody Zeller , getting 2 future picks from the Pistons and also clearing tons of cap with the Hibbert contract as the Wolves were very close to be over the hard cap.

Bballjay - Brooklyn Nets - 27-55.

You probably ask yourself "how the hell!?" a 27-55 record gives Bballjay a nomination here.. were for me its simple , he took a chance and did what probably most of GMs wouldn't have done by trading a good lottery pick for Greg Oden and also traded for Andre Iguodala .
Bballjay didn't take the easy way of tanking and did great moves to improve his team , i'm really looking foward to see how the Nets will perform next year .

btw I still think if i stuck to my pre playoff plan I would have been in the finals last night , too bad I didn't =] could blame only myself! don't think I would have gotten sweeped like the 76'ers did as well. Sucks that the last chance of this lineup was burned! I think we would have seen a 7 games finals if I was in it hehe

I think bballjay might deserve it next season if he continues like his season but a bit more successful in stats.

Bullets record, Bullets playoff, Bullets winning away against 76ers, Bullets draft Miles at 11. Where am I here? - Just kidding. I had bad trades last season that have been less senseful in terms of having success but more in getting one of my favourite player, who now is not even necessarily a rotation guy.

Still my team is very young with 3-4/5 starters are drafted by me during the last 4 seasons.
Noel, Sampson, Miles, Harrison improved, so looking forward for next season and maybe I can even get a nomination then.

Surprised not to see Aero and Shmip here who did very well last season and have been the final GM`s as well.

I do feel thatthe Heat could have a tougher matchup for me for sure (the Heat could have won the chanp), Trob was a big probelem for Aero as Williams (who is a fantastic player) is a bit small for the PF ... in a series the matchup issue is very importent sometimes you got be lucky for who you will play against , luckily for me i had a good matchup against the 76ers it doesn't necessarily mean that my Blazers are way better ..

why would he deserve it for next season if this moves were made this season?.. when i nominate GMs for GMOY i do it by the moves they made not record .. if it was by record than i would have nominate 76ers , bobcats (both didn't do any trade or some "Big" mocves this year) and also i would have called it Coach of the year award.

About your Bullets you did the expected.. also the Miles pick was A great one but normally we done nominate GM for picking the right guys at the draft.. its more about signings trading..

True. Making good trades makes a GMOY more than being successful.

I meant if the Nets continue like this what I am pretty sure about. Then he might make some more big trades and can become GMOY next season. This season I went for Memphis as I really liked the Wade addition which totally suited.

I do think you could have been nominated the Deng trade was a good one for sure.. but thats was all , im sure your Bullets will be better than you were this season (you had tons of injuries this season )..

True. The Deng trade was good. The Beaubois less good but I really wanted him and he made my team younger.

But no way I could have been nominated here against these others. Even with my injuries. I never found the right DC (what is quite hard with injuries of course), so I had to try a lot. Maybe next year when I find a solid DC.

I respect Bballjay and really liked his moves but I just don't think he can contend with that roster :/
