Rookies Grades

Scouting will work as follows:

- Teams may scout a total of fifteen players. An exception to this rule is that teams with three or more picks in the first 40 picks of the draft may scout twenty players.
- Internationals can't be scouted
- Teams has 8\9 options of scouting for each of the 15 players following these categories: 2 long options (range of 15 in the 1-99), 4 short options (range of 5 in the 1-99, and 3 in the 1-9) and 2 precise options (1-9 and 1-99).
* Teams can change 1 precise option with 1 long option and 1 short option.

Example:
Player to scout #1: Kenneth Clark
Ratings to scout: o-o (sh), d-o (pe), orb (lo), 3ga (sh), blk (lo), 2ga (sh), 2g% (sh), drb (pe)

(What you get back)
o-o: 5-7
d-o: 5
orb: 20-35
3ga: 46- 51
blk: 55-70
2ga: 30-35
2g%: 39-44
drb: 78

I ask that the PMs I receive for scouting have "Scouting: Seattle Supersonics" (with your team's city and name) in the subject so as to allow me to keep track of things better.

send your Scouting list to Shmip or Omer51.

Hopefully that was straightforward enough. Ask questions if you have to, I can answer them.

Owners can (but do not need to) make a "big board" for their team that ranks anywhere from 2 to 60 players. This way, if you are not present when draft picks are being made, I can make a pick for you based on your existing rankings. If a big board is not in place, I will look at who the highest rated player still available is (from the top down on the grades spreadsheet - internationals are autopicked last) and select that player for the team. Big boards should be PMed to my inbox when completed, just as scouting lists should be.

I respectfully disagree with giving people who don't send a big board/GM-less teams the worst available pick. It ruins some of the integrity of the league. Take the Spurs, for instance. I understand that they do not deserve the #1 pick, but they have it. Giving them a terrible player with it will not help bring in a GM for them. This also will create a larger gap between the good teams and the bad teams, as most of the teams that will be autoed are teams that have been struggling, not to mention that it allows good players to fall to good teams, only strengthening them.
Now, that being said, I don't think we can just give these no-big-board teams the best players available. I'm just spit-balling here, but a better solution might be to randomize it. Just give them a random player and leave it up to chance. Maybe they get somebody good, maybe not, but at least then we're not purposefully ruining teams, just because they dont have a GM/Their GM is a moron.

I was talking about the owned team. I'm still thinking on what to do with the Spurs/ Pacers/ Mavs/ Sixers.
