Traded Player Exception

Team A trade 8 mill contract to team B for lets say: a pick, so they can claim to get 8 mill Traded Player Exception.

When you have the Traded Player Exception.

- you can't divide it , you can just trade the 8 Million in 1 time .
- The Traded Player Exception wont count against your salary.
- Traded Player Exception can be used 1 time .
- you'll have till the Trade Deadline to use the TPE.
- The minimum to get a TPE is 5 million difference.
- With the TPE you can use it to trade.. for exmaple a player with 4 million salary and 8 mil TPE for a player that has 12 millon..

*** we will open a thread for TPE when teams will have it to keep it simple and organized.

as many times as you want.. but when u get it you have till the trade deadline to use it.. also u need to claim it when you do the trade!

So if I'm right at the cap, I can still do a trade to gain 8M in salary?
I think each team should only get one per year at most.

its simple.. if u have cap , lets say 15 mill available.. you can trade a pick for a player right? .. so the team that traded her player to u can claim TPE for him (if its over 5 mil)

So you only get a TPE if you do a trade with a team with cap space?

yes , but also if u trade 20 mill for 25 mill.. 20 *125/100= 25 , 5 milion diff..

I really cant see why it's so comlicated.. you trade a player for a team with cap.. and you want to keep the money to trade it.. it doesn't count to your salary.. but u can use it for a trade..just like in the NBA.

I like the idea, but the new GM's, or the ones who are disconnect and not very active will not catch on as fast.
I see this being used maybe once a year maybe.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm not against it, I just feel like it only helps the more experienced, active GMs.
