re: New Retro League?
I have some ideas about the drafts/ tanking that might help us, but i don't think the idea of raise the cap for the playoffs teams is a good one.

Re: New Retro League?
If doing a retro league is the only option then sure I'm in and you know I will be active. But that would rank 2nd for me behind continuing with the same players somehow.
Either way I'm in though. I'm not going anywhere.

Re: New Retro League?
about the drafts: i'm going to insert all the rookies from our start line till now into 1 file and every rookie will get a number and after the season lotto i'm going to run a lottery on this file and the numbers i'll get will determine which rookies will be in the same draft. It means that we might have in the same draft players like Kobe, Duncan, Blake, Lebron w/e or might be players like Kwame Brown, Darko Milicic, Kenyon Martin w/e...

Re: New Retro League?
Im in just for a league just like frsl , starting from 0 from the 2012 season include the 2012 draft and new ratings for all the players.. Surly a lot will join cause still no fake players and its wasier to start from that

Re: New Retro League?
What speaks against continueing? Let these 4-6 teams autoed or with decent DC.
Maybe we find new gm. Otherwise we still have a good core and I doubt it will be better whatever we do now. That was already the intention before this season but it failed. So just continue this league.

Re: New Retro League?
not sure about the same rosters.. cause it wont be fair (imo) ... but im talking about the current nba players (with new ratings) and also it would be much easier to bring new gms (cause almost all said no cause its hard to learn jsb and also hard with the fake players... so this way it will be easier to learn)

Re: New Retro League?
I'm not terribly interested in a retro league either. I loved the FRSL and going through the process of another startup after only a few weeks will drive my interest way down. If we go retro, I'm probably out.
If I had my way, I'd say continue with the FRSL, but have some of the experienced GM's become interim GM's for the GM-less teams. That way, they still have good DC's and somebody looking after them and they're still available for possible new GMs. It also gives new GMs a less steep learning curve as they'll have someone to talk to who knows their team well. Obvious rules will have to apply to the interims like no trading with their actual team and their interim team should be in the opposite conference, but I think this solves a lot of our problems. Even with our problems, we have a good thing going here. If we go to this retro thing, I'm probably out and I really don't want that. It's never going to be perfect. I think we have to look at the good things we have and move forward.
