2013 International Rookies

We have a very small group of International players this year , but its a solid bunch.

Quote:
SF/PF Oscar Schmidt (Juvecaserta Basket(Italy) / Brazilian)
PF/SF Nadav Henefeld (Maccabi Tel-Aviv(Israel) / Israeli)
PG/SG/SF Theodoros Papaloukas (Olympiacos Piraeus(Greece) / Greek)

Full write up will come soon , heres something to get you going:

Quote:
Oscar Schmidt - Scoring Machine
Quote:
Nadav Henefeld - Defensive Anchor
Quote:
Theodoros Papaloukas - Dazzling Passer

SF/PF Oscar Schmidt , 19 years old , 6'8

Oscar is the next big thing in Brazil , he grew up in the slums of Brazil with no money , his bad childhood defines who he is today , he's all about taking shots and wants the camera to be on him always! He already helped the Brazilian national team alot with his flewless scoring ability. Schmidt moved from Brazil to Italy where he played in the last 2 years , leading the Italian league in PPG and leading his own team in rebounds and steals. Oscar's post moves are just flawless , he is very sneaky and quick on the post , his post game will fit right in with the FRSL's best , however Oscar have been playing mostly as a SF in europ and his lack of will power to play defence will probably make most coaches use him as a PF where he hurts you alot less on the defensive side. Some scouts think Oscar is a lotto worthy pick but I doubt it , the rebounders in the FRSL are much better so if you look at them , Oscar's total rebounding might seem madicore , espically his defensive rebounding (his ofensive rebounding is much better as he actually tries on that end of the court) , Oscar will get some steals but turn the ball over abit more then you'd want , shot blocking ability is there but alot less then avarge. All and all Oscar is a young talented guy , but one sided thats why I see him going as a late 1st rounder , he might make some GM very happy 1 day though if he changes his attidue and start working hard.

PF/SF Nadav Henefeld , 24 years old , 6'7

"The Israeli Spider Webb" , thats how the Israeli born PF is nicknamed in Israel , Nadav Henefeld started out in the University of Connecticut where he won Big East Conference Rookie of the Year , and also set and all time National Collegiate Athletic Association freshman record with 138 steals. After a few years in college Henefeld decided to go back home and played the last 2 years in local champions Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Henefeld plays the PF postion in europ but adjusting to FRSL I think most coaches will use him at SF , Henefeld is the total package defence whise , he's a complete D stopper who would steal the ball alot and block nicely for a SF , good rebounding as well for the gifted Israeli player , on offence I wouldn't call Nadav useless but lets settle it as he doesn't play much offence , he won't hurt you as he will take only good shots and also make a few nice passes a night , his basketball IQ is just off the charts to really hurt you anywhere , but when it comes to outside shot he just doesn't have any.
Nadav will be coming to the FRSL at age 24 , mentally ready after playing 2 years of pro basketball in europ and is ready to start for the team that will pick him , I see him going at a mid to late lotto pick. (depends on the American talent)

PG/SG/SF Theodoros Papaloukas , 21 years old , 6'7

Papaloukas started his career in a local club of Ampelokipi , after a few good years Euroleague powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus bought the player , and now he's considerd the next big thing in Greece , in his 1st and only season under Olympiacos , young Papaloukas avarged 8.4 PPG , 4 ASG and 2 STL per game in 27 MPG , but his agent thinks he's more then ready to play for the FRSL. Papaloukas as you can see by his stats is a pass first PG , hes so tall and strong he can also play SG and SF , but he's obviously a true PG! the passing is just dazzeling as he seems to enjoy a good assist more then a good bucket , Papaloukas can drive pretty nicely to the hoop , but don't expect good outside game , his jump shot is ok but could use some work but he actually posses a few nice post moves and might take advantge of under sized PG's , he will uselly score very close to the basket. on defence Papaloukas is very verstile , he can guard everything from a PG to a SF , he's strong but not very athletic so he might struggle abit on the drive but he will make up for it by stealing the ball TONS! in his 1st season in the euroleague he was allready the steal king of his team. Papaloukas is 1 sneaky player and has the perfect court vision and understanding of the game , that beeing said when he's on the court its the Papaloukas show! even if he won't attempt ALOT of shots he still likes the ball in his hands all the time looking for the spactuclar pass , probably more then coaches will want. All and all I think he's worth a lotto pick on any given draft.

Is this true? When do we find out who's going to be in this draft class?
