Arenas is going good. But he still has some improvements to take care of before ...
Before I could say he would become a future star..
1) His defense, not just on the ball, but defense on his man moving with out the ball. As seen with the kings game.. It made Bobby Jackson look like a allstar or something..
2) Still needs to learn better placement on the floor and passing routes. Decision making.
(At time during the bulls game, he forced some plays because of he was trying to play another game with-in the game he was playing against the bulls = JAY WILLIAM )
3) Still needs to make his game flow smoother.
But all in all. This kid is doing it.. If you really look at it.. he has only actual 75% of an actuall season of play. 1/2 of last year is his only NBA experience.. I can only imagine how good this kid could be if he was only given the chance from the begging of last season as rookie..

Tough Call
I like the young guys but until they really improve, it's hard for me to say Jamison is not the best guy on the team, even though he has issues. If his D continues to improve jamison could really start to cause problems for other teams. That being said, I do see Arenas, Murphy and hopefully Mike D turning into some really nice players as well. Imagine this team in 2-3 yrs. They will be a force. (assuming we can keep Arenas!)

I think he's restricted but the Warriors will have trouble keeping him if Gilbert really lights it up. They need to make something hapen to keep him and I hope they do.

I think Jamison still is the Warriors' best player. He's the kind of guy who can light-it-up any given night and every team needs this kind of scoring threat. His defense is another issue. I think Tawn has really improved his mid-range jumper this season and looks like SF is his position in the future. He needs to improve his defensive footwork to keep up with quicker guys but once he realizes his future is at 3, he'll improve I believe.

Hi, from the Bulls board.
I think that in this order, your best players:
Jason Richardson
Antawn Jamison
Troy Murphy
Gilbert Arenas
Those four are close, and then, rest of team.
Richardson can do it all, and only needs to find consistency. He can score from anywhere, create his own offense, play strong defense, rebound with some skill, and most of all, he makes his teammates better.
Antawn is next because he can basically do all of those things except for making his teammates better. He can be a go-to guy, but he doesn't seem to be the best team leader type.
Troy Murphy and Gilbert Arenas are very close, but Murphy has really shown up this season. Murphy is a consistent scorer, a good team player, an underrated passer, and frankly, he isn't as wimpy as I thought he'd be. I thought he'd take after Pat Garrity, another Notre Dame alum, and be nothing but an oversized outside shooter. But Murphy can really crash the boards, has a decent scoring ability in the post, and has one of the sweetest shooting strokes that I've seen in the NBA. He gets so much rotation on the ball, and he's a more accurate shooter than his 42% FG shows. If he learns a little more about defense, he can really be an all-around solid player... like a Brent Barry of the frontcourt.
Arenas is the real deal, it seems. Many say that numbers on the Warriors are naturally inflated, i.e. Larry Hughes, etc. But Arenas has definite ability, and watching him match up against other great guards in the NBA has been interesting. 28 pts on 11/15 shooting against Steve Franchise? 19 pts, 9/13 shooting against the Glove, along with 11 assists? He's tied for 9th in the league for double-doubles???
His ability is undeniable, his defense is genuine, and his desire and passion is not to be underrated. I'll bet you he doesn't get more than MLE next season, though... the lux cap is making players settle for less cash, and teams are getting really great bargains.
J-Rich, Antawn, Murphy, Arenas. Keep these four guys together, and a decent rotation at 5 with Dampier and Foyle, then I don't see why the Warriors can't compete in the West...

Richardson's inconsistency really lets us down at times. There are times when you don't even know he is on the floor.
Arenas has been a surprise packet indeed, avergaing a lot better #'s than I expected him to. His defence needs some major work as someone already posted. He just tends to get caught out on backscreens all the time making his opponents look all-world.
Jamison I like but I'd like to see him take a game by the scruff of the neck down the stretch. That is what defines a superstar. He has showed us that he is capable of it... but just doesn't do it enough for my liking.
The best on the team: Jamison, hands down

I like the out of town perspective on the Warriors.
The only thing I would disagree with would be Richardson. He cannot do it all......yet! He can't create and this year with all the teams paying him much attention, his entire game is off. Way off. He is going to have to adapt to the pressure or he will not survive.
Arenas and Murph have both showed up this year.. Hell mostly everyone has really showed up this year.. The W's are lookin good.

Isn't Arenas a free agent (restricted) at the end of this season? Whats the likelihood that the Warriors will not resign him (I heard they wouldn't).

You know it's the same story every year with the Warriors. Although I would say losing Arenas would hurt ALOT more than say losing Hughes did, or Marc Jackson. Supposedly if he continues to play really well, he could demand more than the Warriors would be allowed to offer him. I don't understand that but that is what I have read lately. Losing him would be a big blow to the team especially since he is so close to J-Rich. I hope it does not happen.
