After Adonal's comments today, He might be really usefull in helping to unload a contract like Fortson's or Sura's. I would hate to see him go but unloading that 6 mill a yr from Fortson or Sura would be great. It could then go towards signing Arenas or something.

IT doesn't matter if the warriors have 20 mil cap, with the CBA the w's can only

offer gil the max. of 4.5 mil or something and a 6 year deal that would only amount to 27 mil. which other teams can offer... MUCH MORE. like the nuggets, bulls, Jazz, and Cavs.

I got a feeling Arenas would take a pay cut just to stay here. Fortson is somebody we need to get rid of; Sura's contract expires this summer.

The only thing I am hoping for is if Gil stays loyal to the team and accepts

The teams maximum offer.

Is Gil eligible to get the max from Warriors? He has only 2 bird years with W so I am not sure W can sign him to max. What's the 2-year rookie contract rule? And Gil is unrestricted isn't he?

No he's going to be restricted and they can't offer him crap compared to the other teams. They can offer the exception. It is pretty much up to Gil if he wants to stay.
