Sadly, it's true ... the media is definitely biased. In fact, here in LA the Clippers cannot get love even from local media.
I personally contacted CBS (local channel 2) to complain re: Jim Hill and his favoritisim. I said to them:
* "please let your sports director know that there are two pro basketball teams in LA, the other one is called the Clippers.
* Also let him know, the Clippers [at the time] has a better record than the Lakers. I explained that I understand the Lakers are the "Champs", but that the Clippers still exist and have ALOT of fans, selling out Staples Center.
* I also informed them that it was because of Hill's bias when he worked for another station that I and several others stopped watching that channel and that if I must, I will search out another station that knew the Clippers play for LA".
I am happy to report that Jim Hill has discovered the Clippers, and to his credit makes an effort to now include them in his broadcast.
I said all of that to say ... you're not alone in your disgust over media coverage. Which is basically my problem with the league ... we never get to hear enough about ALL of the teams whether their leading the league or not. For some reason, the league doesn't get that most FANS are about the competition of the sport.
