Zarko's Role
What's Zarko's role this year? Not at PF, where Diogu and Murphy are. Dunleavy will take most of the minutes at the 3, and Pietrus will get his looks also. Will Zarko only get like 10 mins a game next year?

Re: Zarko's Role
Excellent question. This is what I can't figure out. Probably 10-12 minutes, both at the 3 and the 4, but we'll see.

Re: Zarko's Role
I think Zarko will mostly spell Mike D. at the 3 (where Pietrus can play the 2 w/ J-Rich taking a blow). I see Zarko getting 15-20 minutes, being able to play the 3 and the 4, but mainly at the 3.
Unit 2 (start of the season):
PG - Fish
SG - Pietrus
SF - Zarko
PF - Diogu
C - Biedrins
works for me, fellas.

Re: Zarko's Role
Minutes are going to be very tight. I'm not sure how they're going to manage it, but something like this perhaps:
1:
Baron - 35
Fisher - 10
Dunleavy - 3
2:
Richardson - 32
Fisher - 12
Pietrus - 4
3:
Dunleavy - 25
Pietrus - 16
Zarko - 7
4:
Murphy - 25
Diogu - 14
Zarko - 9
5:
Foyle - 25
Biedrins - 18
Murphy - 5
Totals:
Baron - 35
Fisher - 22
Richardson - 32
Pietrus - 20
Dunleavy - 28
Zarko - 16
Murphy - 30
Diogu - 14
Biedrins - 18
Foyle - 25
I see Fisher taking the biggest hit in minutes, with Richardson, Dunleavy and Murphy also taking small hits. With Baron taking up 35 a night instead of Claxton's 25, Fisher is going to be the odd man out, because I don't see them decreasing Pietrus', Zarko's, or Biedrins' minutes after the years they had. We're going to be running a legitimate 10 man rotation, so minutes will be hard to come by.

Re: Zarko's Role
I actually think Zarko will be the odd-man out in most of the games next year. He will be playing very few minutes (less than 10) in most games but playing more in games where matchup permits. That said, Zarko might have plenty of opportunities because of many uncertainties - injuries to key players, disappointed performance from Diogu (his main competitor on team), Dunleavy, Pietrus, or Fisher, and etc. Zarko is versatile enough to slid in almost any roles on this team.
This is, until a trade happened where the Warriors send out quantities for quality.

You actually believe Monty will reduce Fisher's minutes that much? If I followed Monty's strategy of last year, I'd be starting Davis/Fisher/Richardson/Dunleavy/Murphy. That is not to say that I hope that happens but I frankly do not see Fisher's minutes getting cut THAT much.

Re: Zarko's Role
PG - Baron (36) / Fisher (12)
SG - Richardson (36) / Fisher (8) / Pietrus (4)
SF - Dunleavy (30) / Pietrus (18)
PF - Murphy (22) / Diogu (14) / Zarko (12)
C - Foyle (20) / Biedrins (16) / Murphy (12)
That's how I think the minutes distribution will be in Golden State.

Danny Fortson in reference to the anonymous Sonic who tattle taled to the Seattle-Times...
"I think somebody on this team might have girlish characteristics that need to be turned into a man. Because if we're going to win, we need warriors. We don't need girls. Girls are for the dance team."
Fortson also said "he wouldn't doubt it" if there were a gay player in the NBA but hopes he's not a Sonic.
"That would be a bad deal," Fortson said. "He might want to keep that one in the closet."
