My Western Conference Power Rankings

Here is my attempt at a power rankings for the Western conference. (Note, this isn't a seeding, etc, and I know that division leaders would get the top 3 seeds if it was).

1. Spurs
They are the champs, and they just added Finley.

2. Phoenix
JJ is way overrated, and Q is a chucker. Losing them won't hurt as bad as some think.

3. Houston
TMac is the truth, and Yao isn't a stiff. Also added Stro.

4. Dallas
Losing Finley Hurts, but Dirk is in his prime, and the rest of the team is able.

5. Denver
Melo will take a step forward this year.

6. Sacramento
Talent is there, but everyone seems to always get injured.

7. Seattle
Ray Allen is in his prime, but the loss of McMillan will hurt.

8. Golden State
Time to sack up and make it to the playoffs. The backcourt is amazing, but the frontcourt leaves something to be desired.

9. LA Clippers
Cassell helps in the 4th quarter, but hurts chemistry overall. Will be fighting with the Warriors for the playoffs.

10. Minnesota
KG is all world, but the rest of the roster is not up to par.

11. LA Lakers
Either Kobe will step up and become a leader this year, or he will be his usual self and the team will fall on its face. I'm betting on the latter.

12. Memphis
Pau needs to develop into a top 10 player for this team to make noise.

13. Utah
Deron Williams and AK are nice pieces, but they have soft big men and not enough scoring.

14. Portland
The team is building for the future, and it will show in their record this year.

15. New Orleans
Just not enough talent. Magloire is overrated.
