Baron to Olympics?

PHOENIX -- Phoenix Suns chairman and CEO Jerry Colangelo, who is heading up the reconstruction of USA Basketball, met with Warriors point guard Baron Davis before Thursday's game.
Colangelo has been interviewing players as they come to Phoenix, assessing their level of interest and their ability to make a three-year commitment to the U.S. national team. Davis said his representatives contacted Colangelo to make sure it was known he was interested.
"It's always been a dream of mine," Davis said before Thursday's game. "I want to go."
Colangelo said he's going to interview 35 players and invite 20 to training camp in Italy. He said there's also going to be a second roster of first- and second-year pros and standout college players to groom for future Olympics.
