Supersonics may move to San Jose
SEATTLE – Seattle Sonics principal owner Howard Schultz said Wednesday he'll look at all the options — including moving or selling the team — if the state Legislature fails to earmark $200 million for the Sonics to refurbish KeyArena or build a new home.
Schultz, who talked to reporters before the Sonics' game with the Golden State Warriors, said he's told team president Wally Walker to look at all the alternatives.
One would be moving the Sonics to a market known to be interested in acquiring an NBA franchise — Las Vegas, Nev.; Norfolk, Va., or Oklahoma City, Okla. — or to one of three cities — Anaheim, Calif.; Kansas City, Mo., and San Jose, Calif. — that have made overtures to Sonics officials, the team said in a statement.

Re: Supersonics may move to San Jose
seriously does california really need another team? If anything give san diego a team back(Clippers), but seriously... That would be what? 5 teams in a state?
And whats up with san Jose? What kind of market is that

Re: Supersonics may move to San Jose
Uhh...San Jose? Two Bay Area teams? Awesome!
However, as someone that lives just a few miles from San Jose, I'd probably still have to support my Warriors.

I can really see them maybe moving to Las Vegas. An NBA all star game there too.

I doubt the Bay could support 2 basketball teams--it has trouble with 2 baseball teams as it is...
And if any California city deserves a team, it's San Diego. Heck, I'd even say Anaheim before San Jose (yeah, I think SoCal can support 3 teams).

Re: Supersonics may move to San Jose
The Clippers need to go back to San Diego, that's what.
