Azubuike's role?

I noticed he had 28 pts vs. the Clips last week and he'd scored in double digits on a few occasions. With Jackson now at the SF is Azubuike going to get any PT? I noticed he only had 3 minutes against the Lakers compared to 48 against the Clips.

Re: Azubuike's role?

buikes role is to come off the bench and give us some energy...it might be only 3-7 minutes but thats all warriors need from him atm

Re: Azubuike's role?

I figured as much. He will no doubt give 110% in the time he does play.

Agreed. Azubuike is definitely a baller. High basketball IQ, with more of a natural 'feel' for the game. A great guy to have deep on the bench.

Unfortunately, he plays the wing--a position the Warriors are overloaded with skill in.

Re: Azubuike's role?

The Warriors have a knack for finding these type of players. Is it drafting or just luck? Is Mully finally doing something right.

Re: Azubuike's role?

he was leading the d-league in scoring at 26ppg when golden state picked him up,think it was more a case of him playing great and the warriors need for a short term scorer that led to gs getting him rather than any large amount of scouting

Re: Azubuike's role?

when injured and down, kelenna was playing behind who? baron and mcleod (pietrus and ellis were in and out randomly)...so he got playing time...actual decent playing time. all the warrior fans seem to love these random spots of magic that nellie and mullin can find (well it wasn't hard to find azubuike as the leading scorer and 3 pointer in the d-league). but a healthier newly vamped warrior team pushes kelenna behind (listing all the possibilities at SG): baron, ellis, pietrus, jax, and when healthy, j-rich. that's a hard rotation to crack. however, i like azubuike and i'm glad he's on the team for now. he's a great spark and being in the d-league i'm sure he will give everything when he gets in the game for us. he's actually quite intelligent in terms of the game from what i've seen. anyone know why he wasn't drafted?
