Re: Will Baron be an All-Star?
Personally, I think it's hogwash that AI's really getting that serious consideration. Dude has played very well for Denver, but (1) he played 15 games in Philly and (2) sat out a few weeks after that.
Even without AI, I don't know why CP3 gets consideration w/ him being hurt. Honestly, the only PG in the West playing as well as consistently has been Nash.
I have the sneaking suspicion that Baron will be robbed. Dude deserves to be in the All Star Game.

Re: Will Baron be an All-Star?
i wish baron would make it. sort of deserves it over many people. but if i were a coach, here's how the voting goes: the starters were kobe, tmac, garnett, duncan and yao right? that leaves 7 spots (two guards, two forwards, a center and two misc). since the west is forward heavy, you can probably bet the two misc will be forwards. forwards: dirk obvious and i would have put boozer but he's hurt. so brand prolly goes here. center: amare. guards: nash obvious also and HERE'S WHERE I WOULD INCLUDE BARON. however, coaches in this league will either put tony parker or iverson...even tho they wouldn't be my 3rd and 4th choice anyways. i'd have ray allen or CP3 before those two. anyways...then the last two misc is marion and i dunno...prolly carmelo.
however, since i'm not a coach, parker or iverson would take baron's spot on most other coaches choices...and david stern will not choose baron to replace the injury of yao or boozer. i'm pretty sure josh howard would get in too. poor baron, he doesn't have a chance.

Until further play drops these guys into 'ordinary' status (or someone's traded to the East), perennial All-Stars in the West at the guard position will include Kobe and Nash. Parker will continue to get love so long as the Spurs are winning (winning will always overhype some; losing will bury others in obscurity). CP3 will probably suffer due to Iverson's trade West, but the way the league's hyping this kid (not that he doesn't deserve praise), this kid will be the 'back up' guy waiting to break into the All-Star game (like Elton Brand was from the forward position).
Because of this 'pecking order', and the depth of All-Star forwards in the West, Ray Allen and Baron Davis (and to a greater extent, Jason Richardson if he regains his former form) will continue to be slided from the All-Star Game....unless their teams have a phenomenal first half (which the Warriors and Sonics haven't had).
I've said it before, and I'll say it again here. Neither 'Melo nor Iverson ought to be on this year's team. They'll probably both make it, but when one guy gets suspended 15 games for fighting, and another spends the first quarter of the season playing in the Leastern Conference...well, is this truly the face of the West?

True, but more weight is always given to players on winning teams. Although Baron is more deserving, he will not be given his due until the W's start winning again.

Re: Will Baron be an All-Star?
lol this is quiet funny tony parker instead of baron davis
Baron
20.5ppg
4.6 rpg
8.7 apg
2.05stpg
0.49 bpg
Parker
19ppg
3.2rpg
5.6apg
0.98stpg
0.09bpg
as u see baron wins in stats but for some reason its not about how the players play its about how ur team plays and thats just unfair...from now on my most hated player is Tony Parker
