Re: Game #52: Warriors (24-27) vs Hawks (19-30)
thats a heart breaker...jackson shooda shot the last shot earlier...Although we lost the game, Monta(21 points), Barnes(17/12), Biedrins (16/16) and sarunas(perfect from feild and FT) played brilliant basketball...it just went the hawks way tonight...with a loss tonight and denver on the road tomorrow, its gonna be tough to make the playoffs...Hopefully when j-rich comes back we can win more games

Re: Game #52: Warriors (24-27) vs Hawks (19-30)
and three cheers for my favorite player stephen jackson!!!!
it's hard for me to hate a warrior so bad, but man stephen jackson makes it easy for me. a hesitation usually leads to a drive, since it is a stutter move to trip up your defender and hesitation effs up your shot. so what does jackson do? kill time when biedrins was destroying the o-boards, pass up ellis and a give and go to barnes, wait for the defense to set up, allow his defender to square up, and then shoot a shot that barely grazed the front iron.
ok maybe i'm being too hard on the guy. he did look depressed and the shot was dead straight just not enough jump. want my opinion? well i don't care if you do or not here it goes. jackson wants the glory. he was depressed because he didn't get the cheers, not cuz we lost. he relished it in san antonio, looked for it in atlanta, overdid it in indiana, and now it's costing us. do you think i am being unfair? perhaps, but i can't find a game where he played so hard it was impressive MINUS the indiana game. show me a game which was not a personal vendetta for him where he played really good since joining with us. he's like gilbert but agent 0 seems to have beef against every single team...
i don't want to look at any upside to this game. we should have won plain and simple. not just won but we should have taken this as a pride game since they destroyed us a week ago, plus we're starting to slip in standings. we have good players but our heart and soul of our team is down. no j-rich + no baron = no heart. it's killing me. i hope we beat denver but i'm honestly not expecting it. man it's gonna be a 150 point game for the team.

I actually couldn't agree with you more. My gut reaction to what happened at the end of the game was that S-Jax wanted the glory of winning a game. Everything he did was contrary to smart basketball. I am starting to develop a disdain for Stephen Jackson myself. Albeit small relative to my ire for Dumbleavy.
Very frustrating game. At this stage in the season, this was truly a wasted opportunity. To get within a half a game of the playoffs and to **** it off like that is very disheartening.

I can't get mad at him either. He was waiting to shoot it so the Hawks wouldn't have a chance to win the game. Just didn't work out that way.
