I want to shoot myself in the foot, but I couldn't find the gun!! thats how I feel, reading about Wright being a Warrior Rookie makes me feel all the more sad about Richardson. If Kevin Garnett doesn't come to the warriors, guess who made a horrible mistake...

Re: No KG? Warriors Sign Brandan Wright To Rookie Contract
Rookie contract means nothing regarding any possible trades. Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the pay scale for rookies is pretty much determined, meaning that Wright was bound to get paid - be it by the W's or any future team.
If anything, having money committed to Wright would help a trade for KG, considering you'd have to trade dollar-for-dollar (unless, like the Bobcats, a team is severely under the salary cap).

Re: No KG? Warriors Sign Brandan Wright To Rookie Contract
PG: Baron Davis...Monta Ellis...Sarunas Jasikevicius
SG: Stephen Jackson...Marco Belinelli
SF: Al Harrington
PF: Brandan Wright
C: Andris Biedrins...Adonal Foyle...Patrick O'Bryant
I think the trade of J-Rich for Wright was a solid one, as long as the Warriors can bring back Pietrus and Barnes. Wright could have been a top-4 pick and he certainly has tons of talent and potential. They saved bundles of money in this deal, and it should allow them to pay up for Ellis and Pietrus.

I think the Warriors should resign Matt Barnes and Azubuike. Warriors should let Pietrus go....
Anyway I dont think Wright will get a starting job this season unless someone gets injured.
IMO The Warriors lineup will be:
Andris Biedrins/Patrick O'Bryant/Adonal Foyle
Al Harrington/Brandan Wright/Zarko Cabarkapa
Stephen Jackson/Matt Barnes
Monta Ellis/Marco Belinelli/Kelena Azubuike
Baron Davis/Sarunas Jaksiebwiefhagr
Wright and Marco will have major roles coming off the bench next season. Look for them to have good seasons. Maybe even get into the all rookie 1st or second team.

Absolutely agree.
Of course, that means Mullin will max out Pietrus in a sign-and-trade and end up not trading him.

Re: No KG? Warriors Sign Brandan Wright To Rookie Contract
Ellis, Biedrins and Pietrus should be their top priorities.
Barnes has had only 1 half decent season his entire career and is already 27. If u can re-sign him on the cheap then go for it, but i certainly wouldn't overpay for him. Likewise Azubuike.

Did you watch the Warriors at all last year?
Barnes' lack of production has been for lack of opportunity. The same cannot be said for Pietrus.
I agree, you don't break the bank at all on 'Bukie or Barnes, but I wouldn't put Pietrus on nearly the same level as 'must signings' as Biedrins and Ellis.

Did you guys even watch Wright last season, the guys a stud, espically in Don Nelson's system, very athletic, and runs the floor well, sure he can't shoot well, and is very skinny, but those are thing that can improve.

Re: No KG? Warriors Sign Brandan Wright To Rookie Contract
I'd obviously retain Ellis and Biedrins before Pietrus, but i still think he's underrated. He brings defense, energy and versatility and i think last year he finally started to show what he's capable of. With Richardson gone he should have an even bigger role this season.

To be honest with you guys, I didn't even know who Wright was until the Warriors traded jrich for him.
But I've read a few draft reports on him and people are saying he plays allot like Chris Bosh
I have also seen a few mixes of him on youtube. Of cause watching a few mixes doesn't show if a player is any good or not, but it shows what they are good at. From what I saw, Wright is a very good scorer inside who gets allot of dunks, he Hesitates when taking a jump shot, can rebound the ball very well because of his length, can block shots and can run the floor extremely well for a man of his size. He will fit very well in nellie's system.
am I wright?
