another back-up PG possibility

Rumors about the W's pursuing Darrell Armstrong:

INTERNOTES...(from Pacers.com)
Quote:
The Warriors, Nets, Bobcats and Mavericks all reportedly are interested should the Pacers opt to move Darrell Armstrong, whose contract for 2007-08 is not guaranteed. In the meantime, Armstrong has remained at his Atlanta home and has chosen not to enroll his children in school should there be a need for a sudden move. "I'm not going to put the kids in school until we know where we'll be,'' he told The Orlando Sentinel, "so, for now, we're all at home (in Atlanta), playing video games.''

Re: another back-up PG possibility

I don't know much about Armstrong. Everytime i hear/see his name I remember him doing a layup in the slam dunk contest a few years back

Can someone give me a little scouting report on him?

Re: another back-up PG possibility

What about Damon Jones from Cleveland? He is a good three-point shooter. But I still rather have Damon Stoudamire than him. About Darrell, if your team plan to use Monta as a part-time PG, he is a good option. I'm not sure that Darrell can still play for long minutes in a good way.

Jasikevicius talking about W's:

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar...his_franchise/

Payton to join Warriors?

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar..._golden_state/

Again, I still think that W's should trade Jasikevicius to either Memphis (for Damon Stoudamire) or Cleveland (for Damon Jones)

As for Payton, can he still play in a regular basis? Is he actually a good option to be the primary backup or is he more suited to be the third stringer backup (which is my opinion actually)?
