What is your opinion on Matt Barnes and what are your predictions of him this upcoming season?

I think Matt Barnes is eligible of a starting position for the Warriors this upcoming season, but Monta Ellis will probably start in front of him. We all know that Matt Barnes is capable of a starting position, he started in 23 games for the Warriors last season and also started 3 playoff games.

The biggest upside to Matt Barnes' game is obviously his 3 point shot. Last season he nailed 7 three pointers against the 76ers going 7-8 from three. People might not know it, but Barnes has also hit some clutch shots as well. He probably closed out 3-4 games hitting BIG three's late in the fourth quarter.

If Matt Barnes doesn't start this upcoming season, look for him and Belinelli to be the 1st guys to come off the Bench for the Warriors. Also with J-Rich gone, Barnes' role will be ALLOT bigger then last season. IMO he will average around 10-15 PPG next season and will be one of the Warriors leading three point shooters. He may even be a candidate for 6TH Man Of The Year and maybe get an invite to the 3 point shootout.

Wow P-40 you post the same thing dont you. But yeah Barnes is a solid player and he's a key contrubter to the Warriors. I'm glad he's staying with us and that he will have a terrific season.

Barnes is going to be best suited off the bench - he can be that lift of energy off the bench when whatever starters come out of the gates slow.

Good move for the W's to get him as cheap as they did, too. Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't get any serious looks by other teams. Too bad for Barnes, good for the W's.
