San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Don Nelson has reportedly reached a deal to coach the Golden State Warriors for at least one more season.
Quote:
Nelson's salary will increase from $3.1 million to $5.1 million this season. In return, the final year of his deal is now a team option rather than guaranteed money.
"I'm excited to come back and coach the team," Nelson told the newspaper. "The Bay Area's perfect for us, I love working with [team executive vice president Chris Mullin], I love the staff. There's so many positives here."

Re: Report: Nellie restructures deal with Warriors
It all depends on Baron...If he misses his usual 20-30 games, yes it is going to be VERY hard..But If he stays healthy and plays 90-95% of the regular season games, I don't see why the Warriors can't make the 7th maybe even 6th spot in the west. Also, another thing that will hurt the Warriors is Jackson missing the 1st seven games. Now that J-rich is gone, IMO Jackson & Baron are the main leaders of the team, and with Jackson not playing for the 1st few weeks will be very tough for golden state.
Lets all just pray that Baron will stay healthy this season..

i think the only way they get there with or without bd is if the play at least half their games with the same intensity that they played the last 10 games of the season with
