What happened?

What the hell has happened to the Warriors? What happened to the team who had a whole lot of heart and played 110% night in and night out? When watching the Warriors games this season, I didn't see what I saw the last 20 or so games of last season. Wheres the scrappy steals we got that lead into fast break points? What happened to our style of play that worked perfectly? The last 20 games of last season, I was extremely impressed. We played our style of play, but now, We're playing the opponents style! What about free throws? The Warriors said to Nelson before this season that they will average 80+% from the free throw line. So far, free throws have cost us 2-3 games that could of resulted in a win for Golden State. Also, Baron didn't need to play 45 minutes yesterday. Nelson should of taken him out for a while when Ellis was taking control in the 2nd(or 3rd). Whats happened to Matt Barnes? Isn't he suppose to show some veteran leadership? All I've seen from Matt so far is him chucking threes and not playing solid defense. He is captain of this team, and his struggling to get minutes.

Yes, it's only 4 games, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing. The Hornets are playing good(although they got off to a very good start last season and missed the playoffs), as are the Clippers(who probably won';t keep up the good play. The West is going to be VERY hard to get into the playoffs this season. If the Warriors don't act quick, they are going to have a verrrrrrrrrry long season ahead of them.

Re: What happened?

What happened, you ask?
1. Teams see us coming this year. They've had an off season to adjust to Nellie's style of ball at Golden State.

2. Losing J-Rich hurts this team more than some fans realize.

3. S-Jax missing the beginning of this year hurts a lot as well.

4. How much can you expect of a team that starts the year chucking up a third of their shots from 3-point land, getting out-rebounded and forced to play a zone to disguise individual defensive weaknesses?

5. (and I hate admitting this as a Bruin) Having a PG on a fast-breaking team that needs to dominate the ball is counter-productive to the style of ball you want to play.
Just a few thoughts that pop to mind for me. But as you said, 40, it's only 4 games, right?

Re: What happened?

I think, or I hope, they'll be fine because I love watching Golden State play. The loss of JRich is a big one but with Azubukie (sp?) and Belinelli you'll be fine.

honestly I laugh my *** off every time people tell me that we'll be fine now that we lost Jason Richardson, seeing as we have 2 rookies Wright and Belinelli which most people THINK equal a Jason Richardson...**** NO!!!!

now back to the other point what happened?

1.) loss of Jason Richardson.
2.) loss of Stephen Jackson for the first few games.
3.) teams are prepared.
4.) no one to help Baron Davis.

(sorry Ellis is not ready and will never be ready for a starting role.)
