Re: Game #17: Warriors (9-7) vs Magic (15-4)
This is going to be a tough game. At least both teams are on the 2nd of a back to back. Baron only played 30 minutes, probably played 20 serious minutes, whilst Dwight & Lewis played around 35 minutes.
The question is, whos gonna guard Dwight? Jackson sure isn't. Biedrins will have to step up BIG TIME!

Do we get a strong dose of POB? Or is this the game where, beyond all logic, Brandan Wright gets some decent PT and performs well against someone who ought to squash him like a bug?

If Nelson is smart enough, he'd activate O'Bryant and tell Mbenga to **** off! I wouldn't mind seeing O'Bryant gong up against Dwight. His length might give Howard trouble scoring inside. It would definitely help out Biedrins if O'Bryant can try to contain Dwight.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what Nellie does.
BTW WELCOME BACK FOYLE!!!

Mbenga's strength is needed to keep Howard out of getting prime position every time. But hey, the entire frontline will be racking up fouls, so I don't think POB will be on the bench for too long.

Looks like our bench players are gonna get some pt as the guy who invented hack a shaq will hopefully put howard on the line 50 times.

brutal game shooting the ball for baron 6-23 while playing awful defense on the other end. The good news is I think we can hang with a bunch of teams which is proven by the variety of people we've faced recently.
so much for nellie using the bench..

Re: Game #17: Warriors (9-7) vs Magic (15-4)
W's close, even with Baron having a horrible night (and nearly a double-double at that). Yet you KNEW the W's would lose with Baron fouling out had they not hit the shot at the end of regulation.
Personally, I thought the set up for that last shot in regulation was poorly executed, the last guy you wanted to chuck up a 3 shot the 3, and it was an unnecessary shot at that - why not drive to the basket?
Then, to commit 4 turnovers in the OT - did we want to win this game?
Would of sucked with the Magic had they lost it in regulation - the "T" on Howard was bull****. Magic make it hard to convert anything in the paint with Howard patrolling the key. W/out hitting the perimeter shots, it was amazing we were even in this, shooting below 40% for the game.
At least the Bruins fired Dorrell...

Re: Game #17: Warriors (9-7) vs Magic (15-4)
And the NCAA is down to 5 black coaches among 119 teams. Lmao @ the sec hiring their first black coach what... 4 years ago and people whine about the NFL hiring policies? hahahahaha
Anyhoo you're right, shooting 38% and still being close is a great sign for a team like this, howard was great interior-wise on defense, and it'll be nice to see this team again with a better shooting night. One thing I thought was clear was our superior overall athletic ability.
But seriously diddy was awful

Re: Game #17: Warriors (9-7) vs Magic (15-4)
Dammit! We had that game. Biedrins shouldn't of fouled Lewis late in the 4th. He tried to take the charge, when he was in the restricted area, so he should of at least attempted to block him. We had it in the bag. Up by 3 with around 20 seconds to go. Ellis misses a free throw, then bricks a three which could of won us the game, missed a layup in OT that would of kept the Warriors in the game.
All in all, very entertaining second half of the game. Jackson finally got going, Biedrins got involved, the game was ours to win! Baron shot very badly. What was he, 6-23? I do appreciate the effort by Baron. He never stopped trying. Same goes with Jackson. The crowd sort of died early in OT. When your still in the game, and you see your home crowd leaving, it isn't really a confidense booster.
Bad luck Warriors, the winning streak had to end sometime. We just have to put the loss behind us, and get prepared for Michael Redd & the Bucks on Thursday.
