Hudson likely out for the season
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar...ut_for_season/
Damn, I always thought that we should've traded Jasikevicius for Damon Stoudamire instead of signing him...

Re: Hudson likely out for the season
And it seems that Smush Parker is a likely candidate to replace Hudson in GS (Golden State, Cleveland, Houston and Boston are believed to want him:

Smush Parker???? Again, why didn't Mullin traded Sarunas for Stoudamire or Damon Jones when he could've done this?

Re: Hudson likely out for the season
The Smush Parker option seems all the realer w/ Pietrus now trade-able.
Warriors Can Trade Pietrus Starting Tuesday
Quote:
|
"If a trade is offered, I'll go," said Pietrus, who has the right to veto any deal because he would have to relinquish his "Larry Bird rights," potentially costing himself money on the free agent market next summer. "I'll give up my 'Bird rights' for 35 minutes (per game)."

Re: Hudson likely out for the season
I'll assassinate Smush Parker if we get him. He's an idiot and the worst part is he's hard-headed about it.

Re: Hudson likely out for the season
Troy Hudson is not a loss at all for the Warriors. He was too out of control, too many Turnovers and tried to force too many things. I'm fine with Monta at point and then sticking Kelenna at the 2.

While Monta's improved from last year playing the point (mainly, cutting down on the TOs), I would still prefer a veteran back-up PG to afford Baron a blow.
What is The Glove doing these days?

i agree with you in some ways. One of the biggest cons with Monta at point is he is more of a scorer than a pass first pg. It's not really a bad thing, but your PG is usually who you look for in terms of getting others open looks.
I jsut didn't really like Hudson that much. There was a stretch about a month ago where he was getting alot of minutes, and it seemed like he was out of control, trying to push the tempo too much. He made alot of TO's. But if you think about it, there really isn't alot of solid PG's in this league.
After Baron, Nash, Paul, Williams, and a couple of others, there is a pretty big drop off.

Re: Hudson likely out for the season
We better not get Smush Parker.
essbee, Smush is not important enough to be assassinated. I suggest you look up a more accurate verb.
