Warriors Off season

they have quite a large amount of important free agents coming up in the off season

I don't think Pietrus and M.Barnes deserve any sort of extension above what they are getting right now
I'm sure the Warriors can sign players of a similar skill set for the minimum

Monta Ellis and Biedrins of course will get resigned
which leaves the most important player and biggest contract
Baron Davis will most likely opt out of his final year (set to be making 17 mil if he does come back)

so what should the warriors do??
RE-sign b.davis, pursue other PGs or make a trade???

the 2 guys they would most likely pursue would be
Jose Calderon and Gilbert Arenas who are both set to be free agents
even if they are able to get either one (Calderon is highly likely to resign, and Arenas will either resign or go to an LA team IMO) they will probably wait to resign Ellis and Biedrins to stay below the salary cap

as far as trades the 2 most logic IMO (without ripping off the other team and being realistic)

Marbury, J.Crawford, D.Lee and Nate Robinson, 1st pick
for Harrington, Davis(after getting resigned) and a 1st pick
The warriors will waive Marbury right away most likely as he is on the last year of a 21 mil contracts
this gives them 3 young players and a 4th if they are able to get the knicks to the throw in their pick
of course they won't have a true PG but a Crawford/Ellis backcourt should do
and Lee and Robinson will fit right in with their style of play

the other trade is
Harrington, Davis(after getting resigned) and a 1st pick
to the bucks for
B.Simmons, Mason,M.Williams, Bogut and 1st pick

Bogut will be an excellent frontcourt partner for Biedrins IMO
and if you haven't seen Mo Williams play he has become one of hte most underrated PGs
Simmons is there to make the contracts work
and Desmond Mason should fill right in for Barnes and Pietrus and is also an expiring contract
plus the bucks 1st round pick is looking like a top 5 possibility right now for sure top 10

ok anyway, i know you guys are all gonna disagree and call me names but instead you should give me your opinion on what the warriors should do about the off season situation
cuz damn near the whole team is free agents

Baron Davis is this team so he's not going anywhere.

Re: Warriors Off season

I see where your coming from
I'm just worried about his injuries
When the warriors give him his max for 5 years who is to say he doesnt go into a 5 year phase of 40 games a year...???

I like Baron Davis a lot he is one of my favorite players in the whole league
but I have always been weary of injury prone players
and even though he has played beyond that stereotype for the last year or 2 I'm not sure if he will be able to stay that way

However right now is also when his trade value is at its highest and I think the Warriors can get some great pieces for him
maybe not players that impact the team right away as much as B.Diddy but this is still a young team (StephJax is the oldest guy and he isnt even 30 yet)
