Pietrus, Barnes And O'Bryant Likely Done In Golden State

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...SPTB107GRA.DTL

Quote:
No such love exists for the rest of Golden State's free agents. Forwards Mickael Pietrus and Matt Barnes are almost certainly gone after their hugely-disappointing seasons. Same goes for center Patrick O'Bryant, who barely got a whiff in two years under Nelson.

The Warriors would like to keep Kelenna Azubuike, but if the standout reserve returns, it will be under a new contract. As expected, Azubuike said that he will opt out of the final year of his minimum-wage deal and test the market.

In essence, Golden State's bench will have to be rebuilt, and the team is counting on rookies Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli and even Kosta Perovic to break into the rotation.

I guess Nelly has no choice about playing Wright now.You knew Azubuike was going to opt out. He'll get at least three times what he was going to make.

Is a team allowed to resign multiple players and then trading them to other team in a unique trade? If so, they should try to resign all of these three and trade them to Sacramento (with a 2nd rounder) for Ron Artest.

Well, again, this trade should've been made in the trade deadline, I'm sure that Kings would've take it. Anyway, GS have a trade exception, didn't they? If so, they can get Artest for two 2nd rounders and the trade exception and after, resign Pietrus and trade him to Sacramento (who can acquire him with the trade exception they would've gotten from GS)

I like Pietrus for this team. Barnes was good during that playoff run but didn't do much after that.
