Warriors Need To Make Some Changes..

Hi!!

New to the boards, but not to basketball. I live in the Bay Area and last year, the Warriors proved they are capable of winning game against tough opponents. But personally, I think the Warriors need to get rid of a few players. One is particular is the GM Garry St. Jean. He does not know how to draft. Simply passes up players that better suit the Warriors and instead picks players unknown or trades a player with greater potential (aka Webber, Kobe, Tmac). The Warriors need a new person calling the shots. Musselman deserves a dual role. The other players that need to go are Eric Dampier, Bob Sura, Danny Fortson, and Chris Mills. They are good players, but are taking a lot of cap room for the Warriors to make any free agent signings, especially Gilbert Arenas. Of course, this is just my opinion but it would make the Warriors a more competitive team with more money to spend.

Welcome aboard...i agree with all you said. Muss is awesome and the team is maturing. They should be very solid. less than 500 would be a dissapointment.

Welcome.

I agree that it would be nice to drop all those players...the problem is they have contracts, so the Warriors can't just dump them. They could trade them, but precious few people want those players at their salaries.

I completely agree that St. Jean has no concept of how to draft. Instead of tabbing the best talent available, he reaches enormously for need. That's led to him taking players like Todd Fuller and Adonal Foyle in search of a dominant big man...after going through Joe Smith, Fuller, Foyle, Marc Jackson...they still don't have one. But maybe they'd have a McGrady or a Pierce if they had drafted the best talent.

first of all if your going to blame st jean for things dont blame him for stuff before he came here.

he wasnt here for webber

he wasnt here for todd fuller

his first draft here was for antwan.

if u want to bash st jean at least get it right.

i was a st jean hater but hes done a good job the last 3 drafts, i cant complain at all.

I dont like St Jean, but he drafted the BAP this time, Pietrus . It was funny...when he fired Dave Cowens, he was like (not a direct quote) 'we hired Cowens cos he communicates well to the players...' and when he fired Cowens, he was like...'we fired cowens cos we didnt feel that he gott the messages to the players.'
