Now that Miller...
has signed the offer sheet from Denver and supposedly, L.A. has no interest in matching the offer, this would seem to open the doors for Gil.
Pat Riley will not sign any FA's this year, and it's already been discussed he subliminally made reference to Arenas and Fegan.
ESPN's profile on Gilbert says Utah doesn't want to offer him a contract.
So, really, is there any other team left for people to start rumors and say Gilbert's gone? Well, there's the Warriors! Does this generally look better for the Bay area, or should we wait before we throw a party in the streets? (Even though I'm more into getting Arenas signed than most)

Looks better for the Warriors, definitely, but you never know if Riley changes his mind, especially if Arenas lowers his price a bit.
Miami could desperately use a good point guard.
Or Utah could change their mind on Arenas...they originally didn't plan to make an offer for Gil, because they had their hearts set on Miller, college prodigal son returned. Miller being off the market could lead to a change of heart.
If and when Arenas says, "Okay, Warriors, let's deal..." then there should be parties in the streets for Warriors fans. Arenas has all the tools to be a great one and the Warriors, with some smart management, could build a very nice team around Arenas.

Sweet graphic, Ministrel. Is that from Flashdance?
Gilbert is staying with Golden State. I think that St. Jean has known that Arenas would be here all along. Fegan was looking for some team to give Arenas the same huge contract that he will sign with GS next year. That way GA would make $9.5million this year instead of $4.9million. Plus it would've taken any risk of injury out of the equation.
But of course, no team wanted to pay Gilbert $9million a year. After all he is just a young, unproven PG with an "attitude problem." It will be their biggest mistake since passing him up in the draft two years ago. He will become one of the most complete, all-around guards in the league within a year or two. He has got 25pt, 8assts, 6 reb. potential.
He will sign for the MLE this year. Have a monster year highlighted by excellent behavior next season since it is his contract year. Then he'll sign for around $10million per year for six or seven seasons.

Wade could play shooting guard, though he'd be small for the position. He has the scoring mentality for it.
In the end, though, I don't think Riley will play Wade at two. Riley's big on defense, and having a small shooting guard who would get scored over at will would kill him.

There was one website, chief, and you better change your avatar because Gilbert isn't staying in Golden State either. *edited*
Your attitude needs work. One last warning...if your only purpose is to insult Warriors fans about Arenas, every baiting post from now on will be deleted, not edited. -Minstrel

Haha, GET an avatar *edited, please try not to retaliate*. And as long as Gilbert doesn't sign an offer, he's still a Warriors.

Unfortunately looks that way. Teams are coming out of the ying-yang now, I remember it was this foregone conclusion he'd be in Denver, and now half-the-NBA is rumored to have interest in him. I just hope Andre can sign with Denver, Riley continues to scoff, and Donald Sterling shows Fegan and Gilbert his real agenda with the Clippers.
I just want to finally lay back and let out a huge sigh of relief. I still have my faith in Gilbert.
