How do you guys like this trade idea?

No it would prolly NEVER happen, but im bored

TO TOR:
Antawn Jamison, Erick Dampier,

TO GSW:
Antonio Davis. Alvin Williams, Yogi Stewart,

Why GS would do it

AD gets to go back home and GS gets a legit starting PG. AD gets to tutor Troy Murphy into being a good PF. They get rid of 2 of their biggest contracts. Jamison isnt worth the max. Dampier needs to go because he isnt worth his contract. GS wouldstart Foyle. The Warriors will not make the playoffs this year, and they need to rebuild the team around J-Rich and Dunleavy. The 1st Rd pick could be used to pick a center, like Harrison or Marcus.

C- Foyle
PF- AD
SF- Dunleavy
SG- J-Rich
PG- A.W
6th man - Fortson

Why TOR would do it

TOR gets Jamison who belongs in the east. Jamison cant play PF in the West, and he can be the 2nd option that Toronto needs. Him and VC can wreak havoc on opposing defenses. Dampier is needed to guard the big C's who the Raps will need to deal with when they face Western teams. After all, He is better than Montross. Dampier will be the center that could fill Keon Clark's shoes. He can learn from Olajuwon. The Raps have a younger team and a core that they can build around that includes VC, Antawn, Mo Pete and Damp. The Raps now need a PG, but itll be ok because good teams dont really need a PG who makes a big impact. A good PG helps tho, and the Raps will get him eventually

C- Dampier
PF- Jamison
SF- Mo-Pete
SG- VC
PG- Hunter (needs to be addressed)
6th man - Jerome Williams

works out for both teams who need to rebuild, cut salary and build around superstars/potential superstars at SG and SF

I dont know why, but I want to keep Jamison around just a bit longer. I want to see this lineup together first. BUT! Dampier, Fortson, Mills, and Sura got to go!

I agree with Colossus

I want to see how Jamison does with the new lineup, especially him going back to the 4. If he doesnt hava good year in 02/03? Then I am all for dealing him. No problem. I just have a funny feeling that we are on the brink of making big progress. Eternally optimistic? Yea...Is a turnaround realistic? 50/50 I think..

Exclamation Are you kidding me?

You wan't to trade our so called franchise player just to drop a deadbeat center to get in return a decent PF ( if he were to play in the east ) and a scrub point and a underacheiving highly overpaid center.. JUST LIKE DAMPIER. No thank you. like the other guys have said.. I want to see how this line up pans out..

ok i agree, but you cant deny the fact that jamison is too small to play in the west

because you guys are rebuilding for the future, (which is what i think the Raps should do too) if you guys got a younger version of antonio davis with the same build and skill, would this trade be better for you?

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Toronto and Golden State being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Toronto and Golden State had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only Toronto met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

-Trade doesn't work capwise anyways.
