A California appellate court dealt the Warriors another loss Tuesday in the team's ongoing legal disputes with the city of Oakland and Alameda County concerning the renovation of the Oakland Coliseum Arena. A unanimous three-judge panel of the First District Court of Appeal said both a San Francisco judge and a private arbitrator were correct in ordering the Warriors to pay the city and county nearly $15 million collected from fans who bought the arena's best seats in 1997 and 1998 under terms of the agreement Warriors owner Chris Cohan signed to get the building renovated. The payments are designed to protect taxpayers from having to make the annual payments on bonds issued to finance the $100 million construction project." San Jose Mercury News
