{Contra Costa Times} Dunleavy not a starter, yet...
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/cctimes/sports/4269777.htm
Murphy is gonna start at PF, which shifts Jamison back to his same spot of last year.
I think this is really bad, they had to woo Dunleavy, if they gonna play Murphy at PF, and push Dunleavy off the bench for limited minutes, they should have picked someone else...

He'll be alright...they just started. He is a smart player who will work to adjust. I don't know about Murphy though, he does thing well, but just bad enough not to be a huge impact player. he definitley doesn't deserve to be a starter over Fortson and moving jamison to SF, that is absurd. Its either Jamison or fortson at PF and live with it.

Absurd?
Murphy doesnt deserve to start over Forston? Fortson was so out of shape at the start of camp that Muss would not even play him. He did nothing to improve himself over the off season. Murphy took ONE WEEK off and then worked on his game the ENTIRE SUMMER. Murphy is quicker, a better shooter and can snag rebounds as well and easily deserves to start or at least share the start with Fortson without a doubt. It's a no brainer.

i dont think dunleavy deserves any starting spot.he needs to get stronger and he has to start shooting freee throws better. i think murphy and jamison can coexist.neither are prototype power forwards or small forwards but in this day and age those terms dont really mean a whole heck of a lot.you need to get your 5 best players on the court and those two are among their 5 best at least for now.

I agree Rainman. I think they should start;
Arenas/sura point
Jiri/dunleavy three
jamison/murphy four
J-Rich / Jiri two
Damp / Foyle center

fury, that lineup would be too small; the warriors would get demolished in the gigantic west.
My lineup:
Dampier
Fortson(yes, until Dunleavy develops and Jamison takes over)
Jamison
Richardson
Arenas

I guess that would work to start but I would hope that the new guys would be getting some serious minutes. Jiri is shooting over 50% so far.. You are right about the size though. I am hoping they are fired up for the Lakers tonight. I'll be listening as I am driving my limo around.

Yeah it's funny
I do it part time until my IT Consulting co gets rolling. Just started up in Feb. You meet some strange people driving limos though.
What do you do?
On a Warriors note, looks like Muss has got them as good as they were at the end of last season and it's still the preseason. New systems, new plays, etc and they seem to be taking to it pretty well.
Your thoughts...

Im a student at Stanford. Grew up in the bay area, though. I think the Warriors will be playing off of last year's season ending momentum, when they were playing with everything they got. I'm pretty excited about the new season.

Mike Dunleavy played small forward in college. He was the only true small forward high in the draft. I read here the Warriors want to move their power forward to play him at the four. Can anyone tell me how this makes sense? I live outside the area and will not have read the reasons printed in the local papers, so if given this information, I will be gaining new information. Still, the question is "How does this make sense?" and, on the surface, it is difficult for me to see that it will.

Great sight. I see what the problem is.... Like the old song, it's about "big D...". Mike was known as a good defensive player in college, so now I see what the Warriors are trying to do.
